This is a thick & hearty chili recipe for those cold, wintry nights. Adjust the seasoning and heat level to your liking.

    Recipe #216709

This is a somewhat tweaked version of a recipe I found in the 2007 Taste of Home The Busy Family Cookbook, & then it was reduced to serve 2 of us!

Really yummy recipe. It takes a bit of time to make but serves a crowd, or you'll have enough for dinner + several lunches. It works great from the freezer to the oven; I usually freeze left overs. You can be creative with the filling, anything goes. To make the dish more kid friendly I puree the green pepper and onion until souplike, this way the kids don't even know they are eating it. For dinner I serve it with a salad and a vegetable like corn UPDATE - I have changed the yeast to read 4 tsp instead of 4 tbsp - the confusion arises from converting a recipe using fresh yeast - as is customary in Denmark - to dry yeast. I have made it no problem with 4 tbsp but according to the review it can be made with 4 tsp.

I like canned salmon a lot, and I like that this recipe keeps it light. That it only takes a few minutes to make is a huge bonus too.

My Sis was talking about an avocado omelet so I made up my own recipe.

This one is hot off the press from Eat Boutique blog. The creator, Denise Woodward, said she's been developing this recipe for a year. She finally nailed it by using pork instead of beef, chicken or turkey and even veal. The sesame seeds add crunch to the meatballs and the sauce is definitely umami with it's sweet, sour and spicy flavors. Soba noodles completes the meal.

My daughter makes these - they are great because you can make a batch and freeze, then take out 2 or 3 to bake when you want lasagna. We also make these for our local science fiction convention and they're gone as soon as they're put out. Hope you enjoy!

This recipe from *The Best Ever French Cooking Course* cookbook by Carole Clements & Elizabeth Wolf-Cohen is everything you want a recipe to be. In my view that's ingredient & budget-friendly, a make-ahead quick-fix, low-cal & low-fat, a colorful & attractive presentation + amazing versatility. Altho I could only enter it in 2 categories, versatility is its biggest bonus as it works as a cold starter, salad course, side-dish to a meat or seafood entree served w/a starch, light lunch w/creative additions & can also be used to garnish a variety of appy platters or the like. Per the intro, "This simple dish is just the kind of thing you might find in charcuteries all over France." (Time does not include hard-boiling & cooling the eggs) *Enjoy* !

This soup is simple to make, low in calories, and tastes much richer than you would expect. You can spice it up with some chili powder and add increase the quantity of broth to make it more liquid. You can leave it chunky or blend it for a smoother texture.

For ZWT8, from a Spanish website of traditional recipes. "This Spanish rice dish makes a change from Spanish paella and is just as delicious (if you like clams)." Tips and ideas: Prepared this spinach dish just before the meal to ensure that it´s served hot Serve as a side dish with this seabass recipe. Add a pinch of nutmeg when adding the salt and pepper gives the spinach an aromatic flavour.

I make this soup on cold days as comfort food. It isn't heavy but the parmesan rind makes it feel like more. I have never measured it before you might need to adjust things to your taste.

From our TV programme guide. It is suggested that your use the best maple syrup you can get but for dietary reasons I would use a sugar free maple syrup. Times are estimated.

Fresh Steamed Mussels with garlic....mmmmm! These are very simple to make and have a wonderful flavour and aroma. From the BeautyFood Cookbook. Hope you enjoy!

I found this yummy sounding recipe while searching for Australian recipes. This is a recipe from Chef Ben O'Donoghue, as seen in the LifeStyle FOOD Channel production "The Best In Australia". Time doesn't include the 2-3 hours for the salting method. Times and servings are just a estimate as it isn't listed in the recipe. The baking time will vary with the size of the thighs.
