My friend Judy Montagu has a bi-weekly recipe column in the national English language paper, the Jerusalem Post. She printed this recipe in one of her recent columns, and of course I had to try it right away. It really is a delicious and easy recipe. She got the recipe from some guy called Barry Nester, who says the real person to thank is Shoshana Feldman. To any one you attribute this recipe, it's a winner!

Adopted this recipe because I am loving my new smoky paprika...the original description was the following...A sweet friend in the Canary Islands sent me some wonderful smoky paprika -- and this week, our paper published this great recipe from "Desperation Dinners" with a recommendation to try the smoky version of one of the most overlooked spices. One taste and you'll never see paprika as "just a garnish" again.

I know there's a bazillion chicken noodle soup recipes in here but this one's different. I found this Nigella Lawson recipe in the Chicago Sun-Times and it's for just one person, which I thought was very nice. The seasonings and ingredients are a bit different also, from regular chicken noodle soup recipes. I made this using ramen noodles but I will try the udon noodles next time, I just love them!

Yum!!! This makes one very, very tasty sandwich. It's my favorite sandwich, and was featured in a column about cooking for one in a New York newspaper a few years ago; being interviewed for the article was fun! :) Serve on various breads or over greens.

These veggies are a great change with marvelous taste!! A version of "Panch Charchari" from the local newpaper. Use as much or as little curry paste as you wish. Gives a great lift to a meal served with fish, poultry of any kind of meat, or serve alone over rice.
