Recipe calls for chick peas, but black-eyed peas or cannelline are great also. A super summer salad made with cucumbers, feta cheese and onions. If you like hot, add a dash of red pepper sauce or a dash of cayenne.

Another terrific grilled sandwich from Food and Wine! Simple fresh flavors are the key here

    Recipe #387375

I had leftover turkey and wanted something a bit different then my normal turkey salad. Just kind of grabbed what I thougth would go together and it turned out very tasty. The ingredients are all rough measure and please feel free to add a bit more or less of any one thing. I used a mix of white and dark meat, heavier on the white. The salad dressing I use is Mircale whip so please use mayo if you wish. I didn't add salt since the macadamias were salted so add as much as you like. The serving size is just a guess depending on how you serve it.

Here's 2 easy ways to cook a spaghetti squash for all those great recipes. It's easier than you think. One reviewer has suggested poking a few holes in the squash before the initial microwaving. I have never done this and have never had a problem but you might want to do that just in case.

This is a great recipe for the crock pot, healthy & full of taste.

    Recipe #384064

Simple healthy side for 2. Add a little red pepper flakes to the oil as it heats to get this a kick. I also use Crookneck Squash in making this.

    Recipe #356538

A drink from Intrigue liquor. I used Intrigue Pink. And pink grapefruit juice.

    Recipe #379437

Surprisingly simple, for those times you want your own lovely butter here is the method. You can do it by hand or using a food processor and add flavors too. Since it is not any cheaper than storebought, probably best used to spread on breads and muffins etc rather than to cook in something. Update 30/02/12. YES! it works! Delicious too. Added in some flavor options

    Recipe #386074

This is from the cookbook that came with my Cuisinart ABM I got for a wedding present! I can't wait to make these! NOTE: The yield is only a guess as it depends on how long you make them. Also, cook time does not including resting time for dough, or time in the bread machine.

Love Shepherd's pie - but watchin' those carbs and fat content? WHO ISN'T!? Well, this should suffice. Yes, I know it's not as rich as the Full Fat/Full Carb version, but IT IS really, really, delish AND you don't have to feel sooooooo guilty and starve yourself the next day to make up for having this.

A delightful way to serve all the flavors of a greek salad

    Recipe #384740

Pass a pitcher of this punch at a party, at dinner, or with a bowl of chips! Taken from Everyday Food. Just a heads up; this recipe can be easily reduced for 2 or 4. *Cook time is chill time*

This make ahead recipe is a favorite comfort food that came from my MIL who was an exceptionally good cook and loved to be surrounded by her family. She liked to "wow" us. I think she had gotten this from a Superior, Wisconsin newspaper. It freezes well and is inexpensive, but time consuming to make. For the two of us, I freeze this in small aluminum foil bread pans and double the biscuit aspect of the recipe. Sometimes I have frozen it without the biscuit dough on top and then made it later with Recipe#279258 for biscuits and that works well, too. It does have an added bonus of chicken broth for other recipes.

From Real Simple, an accompaniment to grilled meat. Napa cabbage is very pretty, but regular cabbage tastes just fine. A citrusy twist on a summer favorite.

    Recipe #379616

I got this recipe from the Bistro Naturals website. Will try this tonight and post pictures later.

Flavors of fall 'sage and figs' pair up with tangy goat cheese for an elegant appetizer that's a perfect pairing for a glass of bubbly. The toasts can be made up to a day ahead and stored at room temperature in an airtight container. The sage can also be prepared a day ahead, loosely wrapped in a paper towel, and stored in an airtight container. Fig jam can be purchased at high-end grocery stores. Quince jam, a.k.a. membrillo, would also be delicious here. Taken from CHOW.com

Stuffed cabbage leaves are popular all over the world, and in Scandinavia cabbage leaves are filled with well-seasoned tidbits. This recipe can be prepared in advance and reheated in their sauce just before serving. This recipe is from Scandia's in Los Angeles, and the recipe is from "A Treasury of Great Recipes" by Mary & Vincent Price. This is great served with mashed potatoes and buttered green beans as a main dish, or it can be used as an appetizer serving the individual rolls.

This lovely large wraps takes only 20 minutes to prepare and makes a great quick and easy dinner. The textures in this sandwich are great; hot meat, warm bread and crisp cold vegetables and fruit. Whats not to like...Best of all you can use the barbeque or the oven to make this. At my house we have his and her versions of this tasty sandwich.
