I had a bunch of salsa left over from serving nachos at my Super Bowl party and I didn't want to throw it away. So, I came up with this dish for tonight's meal and it turned out to be really tasty. Use the heat of salsa that your family likes. I am a wimp when it comes to heat so I used mild salsa.
Worth every calorie !! This has got to be the best Alfredo Sauce I have tasted! Easy to make and the add ins are endless. Try crab alfredo or shrimp & broccoli, chicken and broccoli, asparagus ... Yum Yum!!
I have not had these shrimp at the Chili's restaurant, but have frequently made this recipe. We like to serve them as appetizers. However, they are equally as good tossed with some pasta (with or without alfredo sauce). The recipe came from Top Secret Recipes and has been a favorite at our house for quite some time.
Quick easy recipe to make after a hard day's work. For the mashed potatoes use plain cooked potatoes mashed with no added ingredients. Just cook extra potatoes the night before and take out what you will need for this recipe. If you want a little spice add 1/2 tsp hot pepper flakes I like a bit of Tartar sauce and a green salad along side or a couple of steamed vegetables. Great summer dish. This recipe goes a long way from one small can of salmon. I would like to stress use leftover cooked potatoes not left over mashed potatoes that already have got a lot of extra ingredients in them!
This recipe went over big-time with guests that do not enjoy fish! The very finely minced red onions lend a slight crunch and the capers explode with each bite adding a salty balance to the sweet herby mustard sauce that covers the delicate fish. This recipe uses fresh dill. Quick enough for a weekday meal but delicious enough to serve company. Pair it with steamed vegetables or homemade coleslaw and a baked potato for a complete meal. This recipe was created for RSC #10. Good luck to all the entrants!
