My Recipes with a VEGETABLE in them.

These are recipes of mine that contain vegetables. It may be a vegetable recipe or just a vegie accenting a main dish. This is to help when playing Ingredient Tag. And yes, I used tomatoes as a vegie - but did not include recipes if they had only tomato sauce.

This was my grandmother's recipe. She was a preacher's wife and frequently entertained and/or participated in pot-lucks. It makes enough to fill 2 casserole dishes. My family and others who have eaten it always love it. I usually use one casserole to serve when I have company and freeze a smaller one to use later with just the family.

    Recipe #84511

I was given this recipe by an older woman from OK, 30 years ago. It is always a hit with adults who spend time trying to figure out the ingredients as the chili sauce makes it look like it has some kind of ground meat in it, and they can see the eggs and vegetables. This is not particularly a kid-favorite - because of the vegies. Prep-time does not include boiling the eggs.

    Recipe #82774

I have had this recipe for many years, and do not remember where I originally got it. The dressing really sets the salad off, adding a wonderful sweet and sour tang to the salad. This salad makes an attactive, colorful place setting. Pleasing to the eye and palate. Preparation time does not include cooking the chicken.

    Recipe #84514

This is a VERY QUICK, simple recipe, yet very tasty! Makes a wonderful meal with a salad and bread. I believe this recipe was put out by Campbell Soup.

    Recipe #84624

This is another VERY QUICK and EASY, yet VERY TASTY soup. This recipe was handed down to me by my mother (who would usually rather eat out than cook). My family loves this with a salad and bread. It is comforting on a cold winter day.

    Recipe #84626

This wonderful recipe came from a friend who was a great cook. We have a hard time leaving any for left overs. Someone will always eat the last piece.

    Recipe #85071

This is a very tasty, easy to fix recipe. It was given to me by a teacher I taught with in Texas. We eat it frequently. I want this recipe in my cookbook so I can print out the ingredients on my shopping list.

    Recipe #85191

This is a good company as well as family dish that I have served for 15 years. I tripled the recipe and had a "dinner for 10" a week ago. It was a hit. I am posting this at the request of my guests. There is NO SOUP in this dish. But the ingredients and steps are SIMPLE and EASY for an elegant tasting meal. Your choice whether to use the chicken with/without bones and skin.

    Recipe #85262

I like this tasty soup because it is so quick and easy to put together. After work I often don't have energy for anything complicated. The ingredients from this seem to be different from most of the other taco soups listed here. I believe this one originated from Campbells - as you can almost tell by the ingredients :)

    Recipe #85611

This quiche has been a family favorite for many years. Very tasty and fairly easy to make. It has a mild flavor and even my kids liked it (if they couldn't see the green pepper.) You can use left over ham or as I often do ham lunch meat. This does make a very full pie crust.

    Recipe #85613

This is the meal that I said in my About Me page that is my favorite to come home to after church on Sunday. The whole thing (meat, gravy, vegies) is ready. You can add a salad, rolls and/or green beans if you want - but not necessary. And the house even smells yummy. It also works for an evening meal (if you can put it on in the mid afternoon). It can cook while you take a walk, nap, shower, and read a book. Preparation time is mainly peeling the vegies (which I often do the night before.)

    Recipe #85831

I have been serving this one for years. It is the one vegetable I can count on my kids eating, and it is very quick and easy to put together. The kids (and I) love the flavoring the bacon adds. This makes soft green beans (not crisp), which my family prefers. Cooks on stove top.

    Recipe #86618

This is a very quick and tasty dish to make after a day at work. The kids always enjoyed it, too. I just open a can of fruit to serve with it. Sometimes, for variety, we make it with barbque sauce instead of ketchup.

    Recipe #87811

I was going through my recipes and came across this one that I haven't made in years - but I remember how much we used to like it. So I am posting it for my Recipe Book to make again and to share with you.

    Recipe #88345

I found this recipe in a Pillbury Bake-Off Cookbook about 10 years ago. It's delicious, fairly quick to make, is low-cal and party perfect.

    Recipe #90321

I found this recipe about 30 years ago in a magazine - though I no longer remember which one. Wonderful when you want a meat dish!! And very simple to make.

    Recipe #91413

It's about time for the summer vegetables to begin showing up. This is a tasty side dish in which to use some of them. I have had this recipe for years.

    Recipe #91582

This recipe has been a favorite in my family for many years, especially with DH. Eggplant is not a vegetable we eat much of - but we do like this casserole! I usually make it as a main dish - but it could be used as a side.

    Recipe #91923

This is a recipe I have had since the late 1960. Great one dish meal with your meat and vegetables cooked together.

    Recipe #91924

This recipe came from when I was in Weight Watchers during the mid-1990's. The cilantro is the debate at my house as my DH hates it and I love it!
