    Super Fruity Smoothie
    Handle

My "everything but the kitchen sink" smoothie I made when I was craving a smoothie today.

    Recipe #363968

    Select
    Lavash Sandwich
    Handle

Lavash is an Armenian flat bread that is rollable, kind of like a tortilla, but tastier! My mom makes these sandwiches in a roll, then slices them so they look like the little round sandwiches on sandwich platters.

    Recipe #338740

    Select
A Mayonnaise That Won't Make Your Heart Explode
    Handle

This has a Peruvian twist on it (the limes) that you could always leave out. Vegetable oils are usually made out of rapeseed (canola) or cottonseed oil - both which are actually industrial oils and not fit for human consumption, or soybean oil which damages the thyroid. Try Spectrum's high oleic, expellar pressed Safflower oil in this mayonnaise - don't use the partially hydrogenated stuff.

    Recipe #367795

    Select
    Cherry Chocolate Smoothie
    Handle

When I'm craving something cold and smooth and there's no ice cream in sight. I've added flax seed to my drink before but most people thinks it makes it taste "weird."

    Recipe #230494

    Select
    Black Bean Hummus
    Handle

A twist on regular chickpea/garbanzo bean hummus. This is one of my mom's creations. It sounds gross but it is SO delicious!!!

    Recipe #339166

    Select
    Pizza Nostimos!
    Handle

Nostimos is the Greek word for "tasty" and this is exactly what this pizza is! Take whatever cheese pizza you like best and add on this delicious combination of toppings for the tastiest pizza yet! I made this up 4 or 5 years ago when I was at my aunt's house in Utah with my little sister and she had given us money to order a pizza when she and my uncle had to go out for a military event.

    Recipe #333197

    Select
    Mom's Hummus
    Handle

For a long time, I HATED my mom's hummus - granted, she was tinkering around with recipes and ingredients, trying to make the perfect hummus. FINALLY, she hit the mark - and THIS IS IT!!! So delicious. I eat this stuff for breakfast with tabouli on top, and smeared on pita bread! I highly suggest just using the sesame seeds instead of tahini because tahini in the states is usually canned or old because it sits forever on a shelf in the grocery store so it tastes nasty. Just blend in the sesame seeds unless you have fabulous tahini on hand.

    Recipe #339204

    Select
    Frozen Fruit Salad
    Handle

Warm fruit salad? Blah! I love the texture of frozen fruit on a hot summer day instead of mushy, room temperature fruit!

    Recipe #228673

    Select
    Lavash Chips
    Handle

Greek oregano flavored lavash chips. Think pita chips but made of lavash bread instead.

    Recipe #218086

    Select
Blueberry or Cherry/Banana "best for You" Smoothie
    Handle

I eat these every morning for breakfast. Sounds like a weird combo but it's REALLY tasty! Wild organic blueberries are jam packed with Vitamin K, Manganese, Antioxidants and anthocyanins. They have been shown to lower Cholesterol and are good for anti-aging. Kefir has "several major strains of friendly bacteria not commonly found in yogurt, Lactobacillus Caucasus, Leuconostoc, Acetobacter species, and Streptococcus species. It also contains beneficial yeasts, such as Saccharomyces kefir and Torula kefir, which dominate, control and eliminate destructive pathogenic yeasts in the body." (Kefir.net) Bananas are rich in Potassium.

    Recipe #250018

    Select
    Cherry Avocado Smoothie
    Handle

I LOVE this smoothie. It's so rich and creamy and has the texture of the best ice cream - without dairy! This smoothie is like eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies and it's delicious to boot! You can't even taste the veggies - I promise!____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Made this today on a whim - pretty delicious for no recipe! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Remember, the citrus juice is a must with the combination of spinach so the body can absorb more of the iron available in the spinach.

    Recipe #364453

    Select
    Sweet Mascarpone Spread
    Handle

I made this up when I was craving something sweet. It tastes a lot like pumpkin pie

    Recipe #218115

    Select
    Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Salad
    Handle

Fresh Italian summer salad. Goes good with meat dishes. Put up as requested by Chef #358191.

    Recipe #245021

    Select
    Rachel's Chicken Soup
    Handle

I like mine with hardly any broth that way I'm filled up on meat and veggies instead of broth. Cooking time includes having the chicken cook. You can cook chicken while prepping other ingredients to cut down time.

    Recipe #218831

    Select
    Kiss of Death Brownies
    Handle

These brownies are the kiss of death - once you've tried them, you'll think you've died and gone to heaven! This is a recipe I made after tampering other recipes until I created the holy grail of recipes - the best brownie.

    Recipe #319052

    Select
Yumurtali Ekmek (Savory Turkish "french" Toast)
    Handle

Think French Toast... but Turkish. This is savory not sweet but still delicious!

    Recipe #218111

    Select
    Wacky Cake
    Handle

This was my great-grandma's recipe that she gave to my mom when she was young. I've added chocolate chips to it before but they are optional. (In the picture my sister put frosting on it and "decorated" it with pecans for New Years.)

    Recipe #218613

    Select
Chocolate No Bake Cookies With Nuts
    Handle

My little sister makes these all the time. I've made them for school before. Do NOT use soy milk or soy butter with this recipe. I have a vegan friend who tried my recipe using soy products and it turned out like tar (it was so sticky, it was like hot gum on pavement). These turn out wonderfully using the pure ingredients.

    Recipe #218616

    Select
    Dolmades - Stuffed Grape Leaves
    Handle

These dolmades have much more meat than rice in them which is how my dad always liked them. This is the first thing I remember cooking with my mom when I was little. She would let me "help" roll the dolmades.

    Recipe #233134

    Select
    Dad's Cherry Margarita
    Handle

My dad's recipe for a cherry margarita that I found while going through my mom's recipes.
