These are my recipes set aside for the holidays! They include recipes for holiday breakfasts and brunches. Soups for cold winter nights. Holiday dinner main dishes and side dishes. And of course cookies, pies and other desserts for munching and gift-giving!
I know there are a ton of sugar cookie recipes here, but I couldn't find this one, and it's my favorite! It makes a nice thick and soft sugar cookie, that's perfect for all the holidays. Frost these with your favorite vanilla frosting (I often just used the store-bought stuff...shhhhh!). Cooking time includes chilling time. I'm guessing on the amount, but I'll adjust when I make these soon!
I couldn't believe that this simple, yet delicious, tea sandwich isn't here on 'Zaar! This is so good! I've used this for my cooking class, and even those teenagers who said they didn't like cucumbers, gobbled these up! If you want, you can use an English cucumber, then you don't have to peel it! I'm guessing on the servings amount.
This is old-fashioned, from scratch, comfort food. This has been a family favorite for years. I like to take this to other families when they are in need of a meal. It's always a winner. I like making it with leftover turkey, too! I often add some cooked diced potatoes.
This great recipe came from my local paper ages ago. I love making this at the holidays. It's easy to whip up and the kids adore it! I often make it without the butter sauce, but the sauce makes it decadent! This is easy to make ahead of time, just gently reheat the butter sauce when time to serve.
Also doubles easily to make in a 13x9 pan.
This is not yo' mamma's sausage and peppers! This is a non-tomato based dish...very light tasting and an absolute favorite at my house. The smell of the roasting peppers, sausage and garlic gets the neighbors knocking on the door asking what's for dinner!!!
