My neighbor Aggie is the first person to introduce me to this scrumptious recipe, she has since past away, but every time I think of the recipe I think of her. Her recipe called for the use of raw eggs, I have amended it, and my version is equally scrumptious.
This is not a gourmet cake, but it is a quick chocolate fix. This cake cooks in about 5-7 minutes in the microwave, yes the microwave believe it or not! Depending on your microwave as to how much pudding will be in it,it will be a cakey, brownie, pudding like dessert.I like to top it with Ice cream and fudge and whip cream for a quick Ice cream brownie treat or powdered sugar and chocolate sauce.
If you love coconut macaroons, you will love this dish. This recipe is incredibly easy. This recipe yields a very moist cake that is traditional in the Jordanian/ Palestinian region. This recipe is different than the traditional harissa (also known as basbousa) which is made has semolina or cream of wheat as the main ingredient. I love coconut macaroons which this reminds me of, but in a cake like form. This is always a hit when i have company. If you cannot find unsweetened coconut, use regular sweetened and reduce sugar and use about 1 1/2-1 3/4 cup for the batter.
Plump little apple pies made out of puff pastry. This recipe seems so simple, and one to impress and please family and friends alike.I received this recipe from my mom, but I haven't tried it yet, I can't wait go out and buy the puff pastry so I can make it. I hope you enjoy it!
