This recipe was part of what helped me win a cooking competition at school against 7 other people. I got it out of an excellent appetizer book and continue to make it!! Excellent served with any meal. (VEGETARIANS CAN SUBSTITUTE VEGETABLE STOCK FOR CHICKEN STOCK)
I got this recipe out of an authentic Japanese Cuisine book, I tried it because it was simple and seemed legit and it was WONDERFUL! My whole, non-cultural family loved it, even my brother who hardly eats anything (besides mac & cheese and McDonald's) said it was awesome!
I got this delicious and tasty and easy recipe from the Abilene Chuckwagon Cook-Off. Romaldo was the "cookie" from one of the large ranches in that area. I have used this recipe so often, it is one of my favorite tried and true. It re-heats well and freezes very well.
I called this recipe "Easter Sunday Cheesecake" because that is when I first served it when a bunch of friends got together for Easter dinner after church. A delicious cheesecake recipe that is a bit different in that it's made in a 9x13 pan as opposed to the usual springform pan. For a little extra, I add a dash of cinnamon to the crust mixture....YUM! (Cook time includes time for cheesecake to cool overnight)
OK, OK, I know; your bubbie made the perfect matzo balls. But they are finicky little rascals that are made a 1000 different ways and everyones bubbies always made them best. What I want to share here is the simplest, no nonsence methode of the creation of soft and/or firm matzo balls; for just like white and dark meat people, there are soft and firm matzo ball people.
I just made these for the first time today with my cooking and recipes group, and they are unbelieveably YUMMY! Try making them with the kids, or for your kids, grandchildren, family, friends and co-workers! They will love you FOREVER :) Please try my other Easter egg recipes too! ...from THE REALLY GOOD FOOD COOK BOOK. You won't believe how wonderful this mousse is! You can serve it at the most elegant dinner parties or at family dinners and, I promise you, it will be all gone.
