The cover picture is from my last birthday party. We had a Georgian Dinner Party at a Georgian Manor house that a friend of mine lives in. The food around the edges is the food I served, all from a Regency/Georgian recipe book adapted from Jane Austen's family. I served pigeon pie, rabbit, trout, salmagula (salad) and even a Georgian drink. I'll still post the recipes at some point. They're well worth it!

    From the 'Oriental Menu Planner'

    Recipe #316521

Hmmm... how good does this sound? Not for dieters, I'd say! Cooking time is freezing time.

    Recipe #223904

Another from Steam Cuisine by Jenny Stacey. Preparation time includes marinating time.

    Recipe #264742

Simple, but delicious. Some countries call passion fruit Grenadella, but passion fruit just sounds so much better :o)

    Recipe #287188

A gourmet looking relatively simple yet delicious meal.

    Recipe #287228

This is another I've not tried, but it certainly sounds amazingly good. I love shiitake's for the juicy-ness as they retain a lot of moisture. Not to mention their amazing flavour. Can't wait to try it!

    Recipe #287225

Not tried this yet, but it looks light and 'healthy' enough for a summer desert. (only 65 calories per serving) Cooking time is freezing time

Delicious over icecream or hot puddings

    Recipe #285315

A quick and simple recipe. I've not tried, but I think I will for a light desert!

    Recipe #285312

I've not tried this yet, but it really sounds delicious! Prep time includes draining the yoghurt

    Recipe #285202

Add carrots, cauliflower, red onion, bean sprouts or any seasonal vegetables to this easy stir-fry, or just enjoy the courgettes with a main meal!

Haven't tried this yet... hope to soon

    Recipe #284044

Not necessarily super healthy, but portion size makes it not too bad!

I've not tried this, but am saving it here for future reference. If you try it first, please do let me know what you think! (from Gillian McKeith's You Are What You Eat.)

    Recipe #304151

Pasta is a great mid week, quick fix dinner and if I can make it exciting, that's just a bonus. I love mushrooms too, so this is a keeper - with or without the sherry.

These are relatively global, although some people cook them in normal cooking oil, others in olive oil. They can also be deep fried or shallow fried. I prefer olive oil and shallow frying, for healthier snacks. Apparently the main trick is to make sure that they are well drained after salting. Prep time includes this draining time.

    Recipe #297363

My gran gave me this recipe for my first hen party. I don't know where she got it from, but it's a stunning cake. Hope you enjoy!
