HeHe....I had to post this recipe just because the name was so amazing...plus it sounds pretty good! I think it means Cauliflower Rye Casserole. It is from Sundays at Moosewood.

Occasionally you stumble across the most amazing things when you're not even looking for them. I was looking for a Canadian dish for ZWT II, tripped over a bump called "The New Enchanted Broccoli Forest" cookbook by Mollie Katzen & fell face-down in a bowl of this soup. I gotta tell ya ... this looks so good to me, is 1 of the easiest recipes I've ever found, is definitely in the basement of the "evil calorie house" & has my much cherished Tex-Mex thing goin on too! I can hardly wait to try this! ... Per the recipe, "Showcase those underipe tomatoes in this delicious & gloriously colored Mexican variation on a Spanish theme. If you can't find green tomatoes, use the least ripe ones available." (Stated time does not include chilling time)

Another warm you up great tasting soup. Thick and hearty. Adapted from Moosewood.

    Recipe #56854

This is a quick, easy, and refreshing dinner that I think is pretty healthy (contains veggies and fiber and can be made pretty low in fat). Although I did get the original recipe from the Moosewood Low Fat Favorites cookbook, I have altered this recipe through the years to meet our tastes. The best thing about this recipe is it can be altered to use whatever crisp veggies you have on hand and whatever spices you prefer. This recipe is also great as a leftover so do not be afraid to make ahead and store in your fridge.

This is a delicious way to lose weight! There are three variations so you never have to get tired of the same old thing! Adopted from "Moosewood Restaraunt New Classics" cookbook. Enjoy!

    Recipe #92658

From Sundays at Moosewood. This is a nice refreshing side salad. It's great for summer...no cooking!

    Recipe #182185

From one of the Moosewood Cookbooks. A favorite with my lunch bunch.

    Recipe #54531

My Moosewood Cookbook pretty much falls open to the page with this recipe. These are cheesy and delicious. It's a bit of work if you make your own dough, but they always work out great (I have been known to use frozen bread dough). Prep time includes rising time.

This delicious main-dish cheesecake comes from Mollie Katzen's "The Enchanted Broccoli Forest," which is a delightful vegetarian cookbook. A wonderful way to use us those garden veggies. It is also wonderful served as an appetizer that guests can spread onto little pieces of toast.

This is from my Moosewood Low-Fat cookbook. This looks like a vegetarian recipe my dear other half will actually eat!

    Recipe #249647

I have served this recipe as soon as its cooked, as leftovers the next day, and even out of the freezer. It is extremely versatile - for brunch with tortillas, dinner with cornbread, or a soup and salad lunch. I always get tons of compliments. When I reheat, I re-season a bit and it also tends to thicken up over time. From one of the Moosewood cookbooks.

A coworker of my husband's brought this in one day, and DH thought it looked and sounded good. The recipe is from Mollie Katzen Online. It can be made ahead and refrigerated until baking.

    Recipe #178982

From the Moosewood Cafe Simple Suppers cookbook.

    Recipe #225814

My family loves this soup. Very refreshing and good Tex-Mex flavor. Good served with polenta. Adapted from a Moosewood recipe.

There's a Middle Eastern restaurant near me that has wonderful lentil soup. I've been looking for a recipe to recreate it at home, and this comes very close. I really like the flavor that results from cooking the spices in oil first before swirling into the finished soup. The only thing I changed from the original recipe is to omit cilantro - I don't think the soup needs it. This soup is quick, easy, inexpensive, and healthy. [From Moosewood Restaurant Daily Special]

This was originally from the "Moosewood Sundays" cookbook and was an instant hit around here...part coffeecake, part dessert - yummy! I've never had almonds in the house, but can vouch that it's great even without them. I've added in a bit of orange rind to the cranberry mix before too, to give it a nice zing. I have always used a Bundt pan...makes for a very pretty presentation for breakfast, brunch, tea, dessert, or gifts, especially around the winter holidays.
