This is such a nice way to reheat a steak. I wouldn't do it if the steak was originally cooked past medium, as it will become tough. If you do this correctly the meat will be falling off the bone and tender--isn't that better than the microwave?
My mother made this often for my daughter and her neighbor friends when they came home from school each day. They loved it and asked their parents to call my mom for recipe. Of course, it would normally be a side dish.
This is the easiest dinner!! One pot, one serving dish...only minutes to prepare AND cook! When corn on the cob is not in season, I simply add a drained can of corn. Leftovers taste even better!! Not sure where I got this recipe, but I have made this dish over and over again and never get tired of it.
