This is really a great recipe! It is fast, simple and you usually have the ingredients on hand. I never use a mix! I got this from my sister years ago, and I have shared it many times.

Recipe #25690

This is a recipe for Emeril's Essence spice, used in many of his recipes. May also be used within many of your own dishes as an extra kick of flavor.

Recipe #5031

Try this seasoning instead of using the packets of taco seasoning. Makes a great gift too! This not only saves you money it tastes better too! You control the amounts- feel free to adjust to fit your taste. If you like it hotter you can add some cayenne or up the chili powder! Enjoy!

Recipe #166030

This recipe is from www.kitchenmixes.com. It is a great substitute for the boxed onion soup mix. It equals one packet or about 1-1/4 ounces. You can add garlic powder or other seasonings if you wish. It also makes a great gift for cooks. Make up some packets of onion soup mix, add a soup ladel, soup bowls, soup spoons, recipes, and some non-perishable ingredients. Place in a basket or pretty box wrapped in a tea towel.

This is an MSG-free copycat recipe for Lawry's Seasoned Salt. (Found it on the Web while searching for something else; haven't tried it myself.)

Recipe #17051

This mix can be stored for up to 12 months and added to additional ingredients to make homemade Ranch dip or dressing. It beats bottles and jars anyday!

Recipe #28324

I got the original recipe on here (Steak Seasoning for the Steak House#18556 by Darin Craven). The orginal recipe is for restaurant use therefore has large measurements of the ingredients. At the suggestion of one of the reviewers, I scaled it down for home use. This seasoning can be used on any type of meat as well as on fish and poultry.

Recipe #73103

If you ever need an envelope of onion soup mix as an ingredient to your dish, this is the right measurment and flavour. From Taste of Home.

Okay, there is Italian Salad Dressing and then there is French Salad Dressing. This mix combines both for a wonderful unique result. This recipe come from more Make a Mix Cookery Cookbook, 1980 vintage.

I just found this one today and like that it's super quick and uses vegetable oil (I like staying away from solid fats). I used it to make pancakes. I needed more milk than usual but they were by far the best "from scratch" pancakes I've ever made.

This recipe appeared in the Kansas City Star food section some years ago. Try this and you'll never buy the boxed Bisquick mix again!

This recipe mix is as close as I could make to the original! =) Easy to make with spices from your cupboard and no salt!

There are so many strange concoctions out there for Beau Monde Seasoning that I was just baffled when I needed it and couldn't buy it (or make it from those weird recipes). After some research - this is the recipe I came up with. It *IS* the closest recipe to Beau Monde Seasoning I can find anywhere on the net (primarily because there IS no close recipe anywhere on the net)?!?!? This is so simple I don't know why everyone is getting it wrong. Beau Monde Seasoning contains: Salt, dextrose, onion, celery seed, and silicon dioxide. Salt is self explanatory - dextrose is the The dextrorotatory form of glucose which is derived from starch. (Effectively, it's a type of sugar..slightly heavier than meat which can be absorbed in to the meat tissue. Onion and celery seed are the primary flavors we are trying to accomplish here... the silicon dioxide is used as a flow agent and/or moisture absorbent...so toss a few grains of rice in your bottle! For the Dextrose (unless you wish to purchase powdered dextrose, which is available in some health food/sports stores) we will use either powdered sugar or caster sugar. The amount I'll list is simply to my taste -- certainly feel free to start with less and adjust it to suit your own tastes. We'll use Onion powder and Celery salt to accomplish 3 of the 4 major ingredients.

To ensure that the potatoes cook evenly, slice larger ones in half lengthwise and leave smaller ones whole. From Martha Stewart.

Recipe #153305

When our grandkids sleep over, we usually watch a movie; they like seasoned popcorn but we pefer the plain old buttered stuff! Thanx to Martha Stewart, we now spend a little quality time in the kitchen as each child "cooks up" a mix before "show time"! All of the variations can be doubled or tripled, depending on the size of the container you plan to use. The Italian mixture should be kept in the refrigerator, as it contains fresh cheese.

This seasoning makes about 1/2 cup.

Recipe #68017

I use this on about everything. A friend gave me this as a gift a few years ago, she gave me the recipe and this year it is on my list for food gifts!

Recipe #67512

This taco seasoning is just perfect! I make three or four batches at a time and put them in ziploc bags for convenience. Once you try this you'll never buy a packet of taco seasoning at the grocery store again! MSG gives me a headache, so years ago I went on a quest for a great taco seasoning recipe. This is what I found (I just don't remember where). This will season a pound of ground whatever (or a bag of Morningstar Farms Veggie Crumbles- nobody will ever know it's meat-free). Hope you like it!
