This recipe is for a tradional english cake/dessert/snack. everyone in my family loves this recipe, though its so old i cant remember where it came from. we all love it because its such a sweet, gooey, rich comfort food! its so easy to make, why not try it out? there are variations in this recipe, so you can try out the different optional ingredients, or even a combination of them!
This is called a "mystery" because it's difficult to decide whether it's a cake, pudding, or pie. I happen to love all three, so it's no mystery why I love this comfort food. One bonus is that the cake part does not contain any butter/shortening, so have another piece!
I would like to make an assortment of buddies/puppy chow. This is the first lemon one I've heard of. Its got fresh lemon juice, peel and white chocolate chips. I got this recipe from one of those grocery store recipe cards my Dh is always bringing home. I would suggest holding back a cup or so of chex until you have seen how much coverage there is on the cereal. I ususally like a bit more stuff on my cereal than the recipe calls for.
Not usually my kind of recipe--I am ordinarily kind of a purist (i.e., I'd rather make REAL key lime pie with REAL key limes)--but this is simply fantastic. My friend who lives in my apartment complex made it and gave me the recipe.
This is my recipe for Flapjack, inherited from my English mother. It doesn't have golden syrup in it, but you could try using 3 oz of Lyles with 3 oz brown sugar and seeing how it turns out. I'm sure it would work quite well.
Well, after looking for this recipe on here and not having any luck, I decided to find it and post it. In my opinion, this is the best pumpkin pie. Make your own graham cracker crust or buy an already prepared one.
A W E S O M E! The crust makes this so decidedly different and yummy! A margarita flavored creamy filling in a crunchy pretzel pie crust! Now that is my kind of dessert!
So good I hurt myself!
TY to adopt a greyhound for the great idea to put these in lime shells. Great idea and great pics!
I've been making this recipe for over 20 years! The autumn season just wouldn't be the same without it. A generous scoop of this dessert with vanilla ice cream on top is a heavenly delight. Peaches can used instead of apples. Either way, a favorite with our family.
Before Cool Whip and instant pudding, this was how a cream pie was made. If you leave out the bananas, you have vanilla cream pie. If you add 1 cup shredded coconut to milk as it's being heated, you have coconut cream pie.
I found this peach cobbler recipe on the internet from the Salt Lick Restaurant in Austin, TX. Everyone loves this recipe so much I have to make a double batch! Feel free to cut back on the sugar. Everyone has and the peach cobbler still comes out perfect. :D Personally, I always use two bags of frozen peaches instead of canned.
My grandmother gave me this apple pie recipe after she made it for me during a visit about 5 years ago. I like to use Granny Smith apples, leave the peel on, and cut slices that are a little thick, but do whatever you wish! This is a very good pie and I'm always asked to make it! Thanks, Grandma!! (Very good served with vanilla ice cream!)
