Looks like "junk food" but are a good way to sneak some veggies into your (or your kids) diet. Also great for game day. I make them for our poker parties or anytime we want a "good for you" snack.

    Recipe #19433

I found this recipe on the Muir Glen website. I added the carmelized onions and it really brings out the taste of the fire roasted tomatoes. We loved it. I plan on making different pizzas with the cornmeal crust. A taco pizza would be great. A great way to use up leftover chicken.

    One of the family's favorites

    Recipe #79108

This is a really good combination of two recipes I had. My husband and son love this. In fact my husband even asked what happened to the left overs...I had eaten them for lunch. Yummm.

A most refreshing low-cal burrito. BF found this on an Australian website, and he changed it a bit and stuffed it into a tortilla. Not a burrito you want to eat with your hands, but really, really good. We used the low-fat substitutions. The filling alone makes a terrific side dish.

    Recipe #241328

This is great for a buffet! A marriage of couscous and fresh veggies held together by a Southwestern flavored dressing!

    Recipe #21843

A bit spicy, but worth it. I can't remember what cookbook I found this in but my ex used to request it on a regular basis. It calls for a skillet that can be baked, but I used an 8x8 baking dish.

This is taken from "The Great American Favorite Brand Name Cookbook: Collectors Edition." I haven't tried any of these recipes, but I'm borrowing the book and trying to get as many posted for my personal use as possible. Hope you all enjoy!

I found this recipe in a book called "Great American Favorite Brand Name Cookbook" and I have not tried it yet, but I'm trying to get some stuff up here before I have to return the book. So if anyone tries it and has any comments, let me know. Hope you enjoy! (Cooking time does not include 2 hour chill time)

I got this recipe from my friend, Renie, after she made them for a holiday party and my oldest son ate 14 of them. My fiance hates any kind of olives and he ate quite a few of them, too. Even the worst of cooks can put these together and have a tasty, little appetizer to take to a party! (Plus, their cheap as heck to make) Add the olives, chilies and pimentos to suit your own tastes.

    Recipe #446807

I found the basis to this recipe on the 10 Minute Success Rice website and added to it to bulk it up a little bit. I love Tex Mex anything and I'm really trying to get my family (okay, my kids) to eat more rice. Anything with BBQ sauce in it does the trick!

    Recipe #449130

"El Chupacabra" translates to "goat sucker" in Spanish and it is a mythical creature that is believe to attack farmer's animals. While this drink has nothing to do with sucking on goats, it will get you drunk. We used to run this as a Cinco de Mayo drink special at a bar that I worked at. It's on the sweeter side and they pack a punch, so please enjoy responsibly.

I saw this posted today on the Cooking Channel blog and I REALLLLLY want to try it so I'm posting it here for safe keeping. I love chipotle anything anything and I love shrimp so I figured this one will be a winner!

    Recipe #453149

This is one that I make on weeknights when I'm pressed for time. If you want, you can saute some fresh mushrooms in garlic and olive oil to add to the finished dish. This also works well with thick pork chops.

    Recipe #453617

These little guys make a great lunch or snack for the kids. They're a quick and easy, no frills version that comes together in a snap and makes everyone happy! Plus, they're not too bad on the figure! **NOTE: I listed black beans in the ingredients, but any kind of beans can be used.**
