I use chili sauce or salsa instead of ketchup to give a nice contrast to the sweetness of the brown sugar. A lighter version can be made using Splenda brown sugar blend, skim milk, and Egg Beaters. Got this one from the AllRecipes website. It's one of their most popular recipes.

    Recipe #38641

I wanted to make a different sort of meatloaf for dinner last night, and this is what I came up with. This meatloaf is moist and cheesy and oh-so-delicious! Tastes pretty darn good cold, too. :) I often make a double batch and freeze one in a disposable meatloaf pan to give to bachelor friends.

I wonderful meatloaf that you make in the crock pot. Adapted from Quick Cooking.

I love meatloaf, and love creating new ones to try. This is one that I created with a Mexican twist in mind... It is just wonderful, and is a WINNER for sure!

    Recipe #184198

I just whipped this together one night with ingredients I happened to have on hand. It turned out pretty good.

This meatloaf is unusual but very tasty! Makes great open faced sandwiches the next day.

    Recipe #24702

Ha-ha, I do love the "Meatloaf: yes Virginia, there IS a great meatloaf" recipe, however I believe mine is just a hint better. You be the judge. I made this for my husband’s birthday- party of 15, and everyone raved over it- so, hey everyone- give it a shot, I would love some feedback. I use dried onion as opposed to fresh because I didn't like the BITE of fresh onion, it's much more subtle yet still flavorful to use dried... you be the judge though- use 1 small fresh yellow onion chopped if you like. By the way- some of you may be wondering- this is NOT a 'sweet meat'... it may be confusing with all the brown sugar and sweetened condensed milk- but I assure you- this is not sweet- if you want to- just omit the savory sauce and make it on the side to use as a dipping sauce the first time around... I'm highly confident in this recipe.

From Taste of Home's Quick Cooking. I like using string cheese in this recipe because it saves me from slicing!

I got this recipe from a LandOLakes cookbook. It has become a family favorite. It doesn't have a lot of spicies or seasonings but you could customize it to fit your tastes. It is a simple tasty dish.

Washington State University sells Cougar Cheese. The Viking Cheese is "a mild-flavored, semisoft cheese comparable to Monterey Jack," aged for at least four months. My wife and I are in a re-creation society and study Norse culture, and find the idea of a meatloaf stuffed with Vikings amusing.

We enjoy this recipe, and I am only submitting it because my DH says he cannot read the recipe written by my mother and photocopied by me over 20 years ago!! I do not know where my mother got this recipe but I assume she copied it out of some magazine at a beauty parlour, etc.

Here's a mouth-watering, comfort food you can enjoy, even if you don't need comforting! And you get to pick your flavors! This is from a Quaker Oats advertisement.

    Recipe #158097

This was excellent - my children loved it - here is an added hint - my kids hate mushrooms; I'm not that crazy about them either. So I took my food chopper and chopped them to tiny pieces - the kids ate the meat loaf and never knew there were even mushrooms in it! To me I thought this kind of tasted like a Hot Italian Sausage.

    Recipe #112822

This one comes from ladies home journal and is a favorite in my kitchen.

From the start my husband was a little overwhelmed with the size and tenor of my very Dutch extended family and right away deemed us "the Dutch Mafia". Somehow that stuck and now even gets tagged onto the meat loaf!

    Recipe #188255

This is an old favorite of the family. it's pretty much a normal meatloaf, except that it is stuffed with ham and cheese, plus a few other of mom's secret ingredients. I hope you like it.

    Recipe #215691

Almost a meal in one. Great tasting meatloaf with mashed potatoes desired. I got this recipe from a friend of mine that worked in a High School Cafeteria. This was a favorite of everyone in school

This is our favorite meatloaf recipe. I finally worked out one that I liked. Many years ago when our kids were growing up, our son asked me one day why I was making meatloaf so often. I told him that I was trying to find one that I liked. He said he liked them all. After I put this one together and we had it for dinner, I thought right away “This is the one!” When I changed from ketchup to chili sauce, it made all the difference. This is a small meatloaf, as we are seniors now, and just the two of us left at home. It would be easy to double the recipe if you need a larger meatloaf. Adjust the baking time however.

    Recipe #123746

Simple and tasty. Uses ingredients I always keep in the pantry. Perfect cold as finger food for a picnic lunch or hot with vegetable for dinner.
