    Recipe #253077

What could be better than a gift from your kitchen? This year I am planning to do a bunch of those 'Gifts in a Jar" recipes for the holiday season! This one is terrific!

    Recipe #253170

WOW! So good! This is LOVE in a jar! hehehe Great for gift giving and a GREAT project for kids of all ages! Wonderful to do on a rainy day or ANY day. You will need to attach a card to the jar with the directions to finish the 'smores'. I like to print them out, hole punch and thread on some raffia. Tie the raffia and card around the mason jar and give as a gift!

    Recipe #253172

This is a good, basic way to cook cabbage. Sweetened by cooking in generously salted water (believe it or not), meltingly tender and sparked with tasty vinegar and black pepper, this cabbage is good hot or at room temperature. And it holds a week in the refrigerator! Adapted from HGTV website.

    Recipe #119430

These are so simple to make, the kids love them. Tasty little pizza snacks are great with the sauce.

    Recipe #188036

This yummy soup is a great one pot, fast fix meal. Wonderful for those busy weekdays or any day. Created for RSC 9.

    Recipe #211570

This juicy chicken and tangy cream sauce are wonderful for lunch or supper. On the go? These are great warm or cold and make great lunch, picnic or beach fare! They are very portable when wrapped in foil. Perfect with fresh island fruit and a cold tropical drink! RSC#8 3rd place

    Recipe #161334

Looking for something new and different? Tired of the same old thing? Try this quick and easy stove top one dish meal that uses top quality pantry items and staples and cooks in one pot! Less dishes, less time, equals a happy MAMA! This is also great with some cooked ham rather than chicken! NOTE: Instead of the box mix you can use my homemade recipe for mac and cheese recipe #135662 Also, when using a lot of pantry items you can UP the taste and freshness level by adding some fresh ingredients like fresh parsley or other herbs, fresh cheese or even sneak in some fresh veggies like a little diced/minced celery, bell pepper, garlic or onion. Some green veggies like peas or broccoli would be a great addition here too! Consider this recipe as a spark to light your creativity!

    Recipe #188814

Easy and yummy. Perfect for sick tummies.

    Recipe #174026

Wow! This is even better than the BEST I have had in my fave Chinese restaurant. To make the meal go quickly prep everything the day or night before and store in the fridge. To make this easy to understand I have changed the terms to cornstarch slurry and sauce. The first is used to coat the chicken for frying, the second to coat the fried chicken. HTH I use a grater with small holes for the garlic or you can just zip all the sauce ingredients up in a blender or food processor. Enjoy! NOTE: I really appreciate all the reviews this recipe has received. I know that when making this it seems strange and like it just is not going to work. Trust that it will work even though the method and the way that the cornstarch slurry acts before cooking are so different. I was the same way the first time I made this. It does result in crispy pieces of chicken that are so like you find in a restaurant. The heat here is pretty much a balanced amount because some like it hot and some do not. Taste and add more heat as desired. Thanks again for trying this recipe. I hope that you have the great results that I have had time and again. Recipe #164706

A favorite recipe from the 1977 "Proven Baker's Secrets to Bake Yourself Proud"--an insert from a magazine of that year. Very easy to make. Makes its own crust.

    Recipe #97930

I made these for two picky young boys who stayed with us while their dad was in the hospital. It went over so well I had to make another batch! They are also a great item to store in the fridge for snacks or lunch boxes. Eat cold or heat for 30 seconds in a microwave. Hope yor picky eaters like them as much!

    Recipe #143494

Healthier and tastier way to serve fish. I have used flounder, catfish, grouper, perch and tilapia with great results. If your fish is not getting crispy try broiling it for a minute or so to get it crispy. Oh and parmesan from a can is ok but treat yourself and use freshly grated. You will be oh so happy you did.

    Recipe #151785

Carrots coated with a yummy butter, brown sugar and ginger sauce. I grew up eating these in Texas. Easy, quick and yummy!-- GREAT way to get kids to enjoy this veggie! If you like a lot of sauce double the sauce ingredients. I posted this less 'saucy' to keep the fat and calories down. The sauce is yummy and great on rice or just on a spoon! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! I am so honored that this simple little recipe of mine has been so well received. Thank you all for your reviews!

    Recipe #152441

As fast as you can heat a can of veggies you can have this special side ready to serve! I hate canned green beans yet this is one veggie my dd will eat without complaint. This forced me to find a way to make us both happy. Hope you enjoy this one!

    Recipe #162873

Tender marinated chicken and a creamy cucumber yogurt sauce tucked into a pita, topped with lettuce and tomato if you like. Sounds like a great lunch to me! Cooked in or outside! Note: time to make does NOT include 1 hour marinating time. from TOH... ZWT Greek and US Regional - East Coast

    Recipe #141367

My kids named 'em this 'cuz they is so good! LOL Great with soups, stews, jams, jellies or just by themselves. Who ever said homemade was hard just didn't know Mama! Extra note: Edited 3/07 to answer questions and help you make these come out perfectly. You can even add garlic powder and cheese to make those 'famous restaurant type' biscuits, BUT BETTER. Edited 8/08 to add yes these are basic biscuits. To add additional flavor try adding in herbs and seasonings as stated in the previous edit above. Onion powder, garlic powder, fresh cracked black pepper, herbs like oregano or rosemary. You could even brush the top with melted butter when done baking or add some Butter Buds or Molly McButter if you like. This also doubles very easily. and again 11-08 This dough is very wet and sticky. Make sure your hands are well floured and gently press into shape to knead- do not knead vigorously, you will have a mess. Gently pat and use a kneading motion to gently fold the dough into itself and form into a square shape.

    Recipe #134775

Quick and easy- hot and cheesy! Seasonings, bacon and two cheeses make this a really yummy side that is sure to please the pickiest people! Southern women will add bacon and cheese to any healthy veggie!

    Recipe #151956

Ya so it is kinda cheating- BUT these come out so good everytime. Fast, simple and easy. Just don't tell 'em you cheated! They keep for 6 months in the fridge but always disappear faster than that! A family recipe here in TX.

    Recipe #134787

This is a fast dish that you can use up those leftover boiled or mashed potatoes in or boil some up to use here. Tastes just like a baked potato without the jacket- NAKED and mixed with all the yummy toppings you normally put inside it all mixed up and baked up hot and ooozzyyy gooozzzyyy! A very Texas type dish!
