These yummy recipes were made and reviewed as part of the fifth 'leg' of the Australia/New Zealand 'Make My Recipe' game of tag. This leg ran from June to September 2008. The cover photo is by Vicki in CT, and is of Enjolinfam's Szechuan Black-Eyed Pea Salad.
I found this recipe from Kraft and the family loved this version of mashed pumpkin for a change. Potatoes are also wonderful done this way.
It depends on the moisture in the cooked pumpkin as to how much cream you may need and of course I do prefer the good "ol" aussie Kraft cheddar for this recipe! :-)
This is my FAVORITE french toast recipe. Cooks up light and fluffy and so flavorful every time. Recipe found on website of Stonyfield Farms (maker of yogurt and milk). I have made this recipe with all kinds of bread and it's fabulous. . .doesn't need to be cinnamon raisin bread. I actually just made it with Hawaiian Sweet Bread this morning and it was fabulous. Also feel free to use banana or strawberry yogurt instead of vanilla. Have fun with this recipe; you won't be disappointed!
A Rachael Ray recipe from the September 2008 edition of her magazine. Supposedly this was a drink served at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. NOTE: If you don't want yours quite as sweet, simply add the juice of a couple lime wedges and skip the sweetened lime juice. This is a really refreshing, light drink!
A contest winner from Taste of Home. States, "When I told our 12-year-old daughter, Amanda, That we were grilling chicken, she asked to make a marinade. Now we use her combination of honey, lemon, garlic and seasonings every time we grill chicken. —Tamara McFarlin Mondovi, Wisconsin."
This sauce is recommended over beef tenderloin, but would also be great over lamb, pork or even grilled veggies!!! This sauce can be prepared ahead of time and simply warmed up in the microwave when it's time to serve. Fast and easy. Recipe from Dierberg's Everybody Cooks Sept 2002 edition.
