This is a recipe Huey made today serving it with a grilled steak and a wedge of lemon - looked delicious but could be served as a side to any meat.

    Recipe #438137

    Great served over chicken !!

    Recipe #436510

A Karen Martini recipe from her cookbook "cooking at home'. She suggests that 1 bunch carrots can be substituted by 1 turnip and 2 parsnips, peeled and cut into quarters. A nice vege side for any roast. You could use larger carrots and cut them into halves or quarters instead of baby carrots if wished....though the baby carrots give a lovely presentation

From Sanitarium, great for the lunch boxes.

Made this for the family for a change. The kids are on a health kick and our family favourite is mashed spuds!!!!! So I found this recipe and everyone loved it, so this will subsitute on a few occasions from now on..............and maybe cut down on some carb's! I do use the low fat cream version as DH hates evaporated milk, and also use the chicken stock.

Can't give your Zucchini away!!!! Try these, they can be served hot, cold or even at room temperature. We love them hot straight from cooking served with lemon wedges and a nice yougurt based sauce such as Cacik or Tzatziki Sauce. Found this in a local paper and such a great way to use up those Zucchini over the summer months.

    Sounds silly, but very nice.

    Recipe #292163

A favourite in our home....tastes even better reheated the next day. Serve with either plenty of boiled rice or mash potato. Can be made gluten free by using gluten free flour liquid stock and dry soup mix. In Australia Massell stock is gluten free as is Basco GF dry french onion soup mix.Options- top with some ground pepper or stir through some parsley or cilantro (coriander) before serving. For anyone who is gluten-free you can use "Recipe#244204" to make your soup replacement to use in this chicken dish

From Splenda recipe book. (*Note: cooking time is marinating time)

This has all the components that I just love, so saving here for future use, from Super Food Ideas. In the preparation time I have allowed for peeling the prawns.

Given to me by a girlfriend but all we know is it came from a TV cooking show in Australia, she wrote the recipe down and it was delcious.

    Recipe #393718

I like that the falafel are baked instead of pan-fried. I have made falafel before that fall apart in the pan. From a borrowed library book "The ultimate book of vegan cooking". Instead of cooking soaked chickpeas by boiling you may prefer to pressure cook them. Gluten-free if gf ingredients are used. Can be served with a salad, on pita bread or with tahini. Cooking time does not include overnight soaking of the beans.

I've only begun to eat fennel and have decided this salad of my own invention is one of the ways I like it the most!

    Recipe #384583

I wanted a really light, quick appetiser tonight to use up the meat of a couple of small crabs we caught. I also needed to use a ripe avocado so came up with this. An Aussie tablespoon is 4 teaspoons.

    Recipe #332783

Russell made this for brunch for the two of us this morning. It is really a luxurious dish and could probably feed 3 or 4 people less greedy than us! The original recipe came from the net, but he has modified it quite a bit. I would also enjoy smaller sized pieces of this served just warm as fingerfood. Yum. Or served with a green salad for lunch. Just adding, we have made this in a round pan too, and cut into wedges (see phot) this worked really well.

From the Australian Women's Weekly Meals in Minutes Chicken. Use a whole rotisserie cooked chicken. A quick easy mid week meal. The original recipe called for 1 medium leek (350g) finely sliced (I used spring onions) and 2 1/2 cups (350g) frozen peas, corn and capsicum (bell peppers) mix but any frozen vegetable mix should do (I used peas, corn, carrots and broccoli). You could even make up up your own mix of individual frozen vegetables.
