    Never buy store bought stock. If you cook with fresh ingredients like we do, you never have to buy anything on this recipe list as they are scraps from everyday produce. The ingredients listed are suggestions of what types of vegetables to keep, not that you need every item every time you make stock. Surely there are more vegetables to add to this list. I save EVERYTHING. Keep a freezer safe zip bag in your freezer and pile in the scraps. When you are ready to make stock, simply put the frozen scraps in a pot of water and boil for several hours. This is also a starter base for chicken or beef stock. Simply throw in leftover bones.

    Quark is not easily available in most non German countries, and it cannot really substituted by ricotta or creamcheese. But then it's not really difficult to make.     This method is nothing short of a miracle to clean kitchen hood filters. Non-toxic and cheap, cheap, cheap! The only problem you should have is finding the right vessel. I used a roasting pan, but maybe using a disposable aluminum pan would work. Add the soda at the beginning to the cool water so it doesn't fizz and overflow. As embarrassing as it may be for me to show how bad mine were, note the differences. The foremost filter in the picture is one that's been cleaned by this method.

    This shower cleaner came from an Everyday Cheapskate e-mail, and it is truly magic, as the title states. I just tried it and it got the soap scum off my glass shower door with hardly any scrubbing. It was amazing, as I have tried to clean that door with various products. It is so easy, too. Try it and you will be sold. Be careful because a little bit goes a long way. You need a 24-oz. squirt bottle for this.

    I originally started with Recipe #63785 but I tweaked it a bunch to lower the calories. I'd been using turbinado sugar the whole time and didn't realize that it made such a difference. When we ran out I tried organic sugar and brown sugar but hubby kept saying it wasn't right. Turbinado is raw cane sugar. You may also find it under the name "raw sugar". Here is a definition that I found at http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-turbinado-sugar.htm Turbinado sugar is a delicious alternative to table sugar. Unlike typical granulated sugar, Turbinado sugar crystals are much larger, and are made at an earlier period in the sugar cane processing method. It retains some of the flavor of molasses, a natural byproduct of the sugar process, which makes it a desirable addition to tea or coffee. The first pressing of the sugar cane yields Turbinado sugar. It looks notably different from granulated sugar because it has much larger crystals and is golden to brown in color. It also is considered by some to be “healthier” since it receives less processing than does white sugar.

    I have been using this for years don't know why I never thought of posting it here on the site earlier, this really works and works very well! no chemicals 100% natural and will remove dust and dirt and kill any little bugs and bacteria not to mention it costs only pennies to make and when used as a soak it will help preserve your veggies so that they will last quite a lot longer --- there is really no servings to this recipe so of coarse the serving amount is only estimated --- because of the fresh lemon juice any unused spray may be refrigerated until used again, I just usually use up the 1 cup and then discard the rest --- the exact amounts do not really matter a little more will not hurt, I really don't even bother to measure I just eyeball everything --- if you are using a smaller bowl then reduce the vinegar to 2 tablespoons and salt to 1 tablespoon it will work just as well :)

    A dry herb blend for giving any ground meat a "sausage" flavoring. Try this not only with ground pork, but also ground turkey, beef, or chicken.
