You will not find a better sugar cookie anywhere you search, this will most likely be the only sugar cookie you will use, not only are these cookies buttery delicious, the dough is an absolute dream to work with, it rolls out easily and is easy to handle, also the cookies hold their shape when baked something many sugar cookies do not do --- make as many different colors as desired in separate bowls with the icing, the cookies must be completely cooled before icing --- plan ahead the dough must be chilled for at least 2 hours before rolling -- since these are topped with icing they are not a sweet cookie if you want a sweeter taste then increase the sugar amount

I searched and finally found this recipe on the internet. It is a copycat of the Bourbon Chicken sold in Chinese carry-outs in my hometown. This recipe is so good that my sons gobble it up leaving me just a spoonful. Their excuse was they thought I had eaten. Editor's Note: Named Bourbon Chicken because it was supposedly created by a Chinese cook who worked in a restaurant on Bourbon Street.

After trying several recipes and even the frozen stuff from Boston Market(YUCK!!!) I decided to "invent" my own. The amounts of ingredients are all guesstimates. So please feel free to adjust to your personal liking.

    Recipe #51715

I just purchase a small bag of baby carrots and use the whole bag for this, or use regular peeled carrots cut into about 2-inch chunks. Try to use a good quality olive oil for this. After you have been making this for a while you will know just how much to adjust your salt and garlic, the amounts listed are about the amounts I use when I make this, but all ingredients can be adjusted to suit taste, if you are a garlic-lover use lots of garlic, after cooking the garlic flavor will mellow and will not as strong, so don't be intimated by 8 cloves! This can be made hours in advance and just rewarmed. If you find that the baby carrots are done before the potatoes just remove them to a bowl. I make this very often, it is a simple side dish with lots of flavor, I roast all of my root veggies using the same method and ingredients, rutabagas, parsnips, beets, large chunky size carrots and even sweet potatoes or yams, just peel them and chop into 2-inch pieces (larger size for yams). This is a fantastic side dish, simple and delicious!

This is the recipe I have been using for Macaroni and Cheese since the beginning of time! Truly a classic and a staple on our family table. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. A great side dish to be served with my Meatloaf Barbecue Style!

The name says it all! The nutritional information will not be correct, as the marinade is discarded.

Everyone will love these veggies! You can also add miniature marshmallows to the top.

Blasting with high heat will shrink the skin and seal in all the juices to create an extremely moist and tender chicken with lovely crispy skin - and it will be on your table in about an hour. This method will also work with a larger chicken, but cooking time will need to be increased. You may adjust all seasonings to taste. If you are not a lemon lover, then you may omit the lemon juice. You really can use whatever seasoning that you like for this. I like to use seasoned salt. Make certain to use a fork and poke holes all over in the lemon, then place it into the cavity of the chicken. Roast roast as stated. The chicken with be moist and have a faint lemon flavor. This is a recipe that I adopted from a sweet chef by the name of CBW. A real doll. "I always plan a crock pot meal for Sunday afternoon so that it's all ready after church, and I wanted something different than the chicken we usually end up with. This was a big hit!"

This is really good, and really easy. The yogurt mixture really sticks to the chicken and makes it tasty and tender. Keep in mind it has to marinate for at least 8 hours.

These are a perfect easy treat for anytime of the day.

Inspiration for this one comes from Bumblebee on Allrecipes, but I have modified it to my tastes, and brought down the calories a bit. I like to make this for Super Bowl parties, it is filling and addictive.

This is a base recipe so you can work with what jello and/or liquor you already have in your bar. Usually it's best to model the shot after an already existing drink, or to use plain vodka or light rum with a fruit flavor and using the same type of fruit as a floater. Cooking time is chill time.

This fried rice is a favorite of Hubby's and also was well-received by guests. It's easy to whip up quickly if you need to. I try to use the minimal amount of meat needed to give it good flavor to the whole dish when I make it just for the two of us. You may want to increase to 1/2 lb shrimp if serving to guests. Hubby actually prefers this using 1/2 lb pork in place of the shrimp, but this is healthier. Sometimes I sub fake crab for the shrimp. It ends up a little sweeter but still good. Scallops are also a delicious option.
