The original recipe calls for shrimp, but since we don't eat shellfish, I changed it to use chicken. From Light & Tasty. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to soon. If you'd prefer the shrimp, substitute an equal weight of medium cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cut into thirds, for the chicken.

    Recipe #185665

Can be served hot as a side, or cold as a salad. From Light & Tasty magazine. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds good.

    Recipe #185661

From Light & Tasty; cook time is chill time. I haven't tried this yet, but it sounds like a delicious alternative to my regular pasta salad!

    Recipe #185663

From Light & Tasty magazine. Originally called for cornstarch, which I left out.

    Recipe #185669

From Light & Tasty. I haven't made this yet, but it looked tasty and fresh.

    Recipe #185673

I found this recipe in Light & Tasty Magazine. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and refreshing it is! This is a reduced-calorie recipe, but if you do not need to calorie count, then use regular milk and ice cream. You can also add more coffee granules if you like a stronger coffee flavor. I make the original recipe as a quick breakfast on hot summer days.

    Recipe #132482

This recipe was found in the June/July edition of Light and Tasty. It is 4 points per serving and more importantly it is a dessert with CHOCOLATE.

    Recipe #92463

This recipe comes from Light & Tasty October/November 2004. It totals 5 points per serving. This recipe is great for new cooks, people on a budget, and families that need quick affordable meals.

    Recipe #166447

This is from Light & Tasty. I haven't tried it but it sounds interesting. It's made in the microwave. The original recipe states "1 envelope seasoned coating mix" so I guessed 8 ounces for the amount. I suppose you could use anything from a pre-packaged mix to cornflakes. I hope it's as good as it sounds!

Blueberries and oatmeal are both so good for you - this recipe from the Light & Tasty cookbook makes a yummy breakfast or dessert.

    Recipe #225141

Low in fat and high in fiber! We added some diced ham leftover from Easter but even without it this has lots of protein and is quite filling for 2-3 people. Originally from Light & Tasty.

A similar recipe was in Light and Tasty a few years ago. I tweaked the recipe and came up with my version of this comforting soup.

I haven't actually tried this; but it actually looked and sounded good. If I don't post it, I'll loose it! Burger without the meat. The recipe comes from Light and Tasty February/March 2002.

My dearest friend, Carol, was the inspiration behind this recipe. There was a recipe published in this month's issue of Light & Tasty. It gave me some ideas and this bread was the end result. It is perfect as the base for fresh strawberry shortcake. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #91662

From Light & Tasty magazine. I haven't tried these yet, but I'm sure I will--we love wraps and Buffalo wings!

    Recipe #188168

From Light & Tasty magazine. To reduce sodium, cut back or eliminate the salt. Time doesn't include cooling or chilling times.

    Recipe #188237

I got this great recipe from the August/September 2004 issue of Light & Tasty. Cook time does not include 1-2 hours for marinading.
