I love McDonald's Big Macs, but I don't love all the fat and calories, so I am very rarely able to treat myself to one. I created an alternative that is almost as good, and easily satisfies my craving. I'm not a big fan of onions and pickles, so I leave them off, but feel free to add them back in!
"Rev up your morning with this energizing cheese and turkey bacon-filled burrito! Excerpted from The Biggest Loser Cookbook." -From the Prevention.com website
I haven't tried these but wanted to add it for my menu purposes.
If you are apart of the Joy Bauer's Diet this is one of 3 different Life Soup's you should have every day with dinner if you don't have a salad. Since this site makes it so much easier to plan shopping lists I'm adding them here.
It's a inexpensive diet feel free to check it out here: http://www.joybauer.com/members/foodandrecipes/recipes/viewrecipe.aspx?recipeid=10499&usermealplanid=84263771

From "Eight Weeks to Optimal Health". I haven't tried it yet but want to post it for safekeeping.
Dr Weil says: Here is an unusual, healthy dessert made from the staple grain-like seed of the high Andes, now available in specialty food shops and health-food stores.
I found this recipe in a Fix-It-and-Forget-It magazine, and we fell in love with it. Any time I need to knock off a couple pounds, I'll pull this one out. The recipe states it's ideal for a 7-quart cooker.
This recipe comes from the Michael Thurman Six Week Body Makeover Diet Program. I wanted to make sure I have this recipe somewhere where I can find it in case I lose my recipe card. It's really a delicious recipe with a ingredient I never thought of using to hold the meatloaf together along with the regular egg whites. I use Recipe #236938 for my rice.
These cookies are absolutely delicious and practically guilt free! Only about 35 calories per cookie! They are so tasty and soft you would never guess how healthy they really are. Great dessert or snack for the fall and winter seasons. I have a few in my fridge all year long to keep me from snacking on more "sinful" temptations...
Tender chicken. I found this recipe from Obesity Help. This recipe was posted by mehelga. My family really enjoyed this chicken. We thought it was so tasty. When I made this recipe I used 1/2 cup sugar free apricot preserves and 1/2 cup sugar free peach preserves as I was out of apricot. I used mayonnaise made with canola oil.
Another favorite from "More Fat Free & Ultra Low Fat Recipes from Doris' Kitchen" by Doris Cross in Stillwater, OK. I have never tried the gravy myself. If you follow the instructions the chicken is yummy.
I found this recipe on the www.bettycrocker.com website this morning while searching for recipes that use Yoplait Yogurt. Here is what the website said: Yogurt and berries stir up into the best bran muffins.
