    Delicious and so easy to prepare. There have been questions about the accuracy of the carb count configured by Food.com. According to the Splenda help site there are 12 gm of carbs in 1/2 cup and 24 gm in 1 cup. My recipe calls for 3/4 cup which I figure to be 18gm for the entire pie. I submitted this information to Food.com and received this answer. "dojemi, At this time, the nutritional facts are limited to what is available from the USDA's database, which has only the data for Splenda packets and not Splenda Sugar Blend for Baking." If you choose to make this pie please take this information into consideration. Thank you. dojemi

    I found this on a low carb website and it is very good. Sometimes I use the cinnamon, other times I don't. It tastes good even if you aren't a 'low carber'. The picture was taken using 2 lbs of beef stewing meat! Thanks for the comments to use 2 lbs, it's much better!

    Tastes like a pizza, cuts like a pizza, yet there is no dough....though do have a fork and knife on hand for eating purposes because it can get a little messy if eaten with hands only. I am a South Beach dieter with a love for Italian foods and this is what curbs my craving for pizza. I love mine with the turkey pepperoni slices, onion, green peppers and mushroom.     During the holidays my family has a longstanding tradition of baking cookie trays for family and friends. This year, my circle includes a friend who has been advised by her doctor to dramatically reduce her carbohydrate intake. Not wanting to leave her out of the cookie circle, I tracked this recipe down on the web and have posted it here for others interested in low-carb baking. The resulting cookie is a little crumbly like a shortbread with a soft nutty flavor. I like the variation, my own, of adding the egg as the cookie holds together more and has a thin marzipan like center. A bit too rich for my low-fat taste buds but a certain hit for a low-carb diet. According to the recipe these have about 2.7g carbs per cookie.
