I'm no longer sure of the source for this recipe...not that I followed the original anyway! I am boycotting corn syrup now and needed an energy bar that I could make at home! This recipe is easy and versatile...and everyone in my family will eat these bars! No butter and no sugar! But soooo good!
Found in Healthy Cooking magazine. I have not tried this particular recipe but it sounds so good that I have to save it here to try later. The recipe calls for walnuts but I'll probably sub out for almonds...feel free to use the nut you like best. Definitely a biscotti that sounds great to dip into my coffee or tea! Prep. time includes time to refrigerate dough so don't let that frighten you.
I love good salmon. Whenever I cook fresh or frozen salmon I always make an extra fillet or two. You can also make this with a good quality canned salmon such as Alaska Red Sockeye...which I think is the very best canned salmon.
This recipe is just as good cold leftovers the next day as it is hot.
NOTE** you can substitute a different kind of cooked fillet for the tuna if you wish or even just use 2 filllets of salmon.
This recipe is from the cooking show Best Recipes Ever - which I love because the hostess Kary provides some really great and useful tips about cooking and ingredients as she goes along. Plus she has realy beautiful bowls and platters - I love bowls. Yummy dishes too. This dish is great with Indian Raita - recipe #397633 and some naan
Chicken beasts bathed in a fragrant sauce make a delicate dish, perfect for dinner parties. Serve with rice to complete the meal. This is out of my Mexican Recipes cookbook...Yep...that's the name of the book...
old recipe again darlene kossman ann prauerer this is really good i also added some french fried onions with this and instead of milk i dusted the fish with powdered milk as my cheap fish has alot of added water ,if thats not a concern for you do add the liquid milk .
This is a recipe I have been making for years and it is always a hit. It's perfect for outdoor entertaining because you can prep the kabobs and keep them in your refrigerator until you're ready to grill. It's actually best to let it marinate overnight. The flavor from the marinade is awesome!! I like to serve this over rice - with a nice salad and bakery bread...simple and yummy. I hope you enjoy!
From the cookbook Mediterranean Dishes by Diane Seed.
Za'atar (or zahtar) is easy to make and several good recipes are found on this site. I have used an automatic bread machine to prepare the dough. This yields a light textured bread.
Yet another way to make use of those big blue crabs we are catching. 1 crab gave us 1 cup of beautiful meat for this.I can't do what I suggest in the last step as I don't have a griller (broiler) so I finished it with the lid on for a couple of minutes to set the top. That worked fine and would be good for camping. Just cook the onion and potato slower and longer if you can't access a microwave.
This comes straight from Rachael Ray's Week in a Day. This makes a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. Ratatouille is a traditional French Provençal stewed vegetable dish, originating in Nice. This is a nice twist, the eggs making it a complete meal. Yummo.
