From The Biggest Loser Weight-Loss Planner. This recipe is so simple and tasty. Before I could sit down to enjoy my breakfast, my kids had this half devoured and wanting their own. Usually they are cereal or pop-tarts only for breakfast. Not anymore.
I came up with this one day when I was making a snack for the kids in my mom's daycare. I used whatever cereal I had on hand (the first time I made it I had Fruity Pebbles, Cheerios, and Rice Crispy) and even threw in some pretzels! The children loved them and I thought they tasted great as well!
These are the easiest muffins to make. I triple the recipe and make them mini for the 100th day celebrations ( it'll make 100, barely) at my children's school. This recipe came from a corn flakes box originally, but has gone through many changes.
I made these for my Baci ("grandmother" in Polish) because she has to watch her blood sugar. Loving her with all my being makes me worry about her well-being. I decided to try this recipe (and another Oatmeal Bar recipe) and give her an alternative to eating baked goods for a "quick fix." She preferred the other recipe and recommends this recipe to those who like Grape Nuts. She says the bars reminded her of Grape Nuts pudding.
