This crust works nicely with "Beachgirl's LowCarb Cheesecake". The nuts can be chopped rather than ground into meal for a crunchier consistency.

It's important to have your cream cheese at room temperature otherwise the filling will become grainy. You will need one 9" springform pan. Gel food coloring produces more intense colors. To make purple food coloring with liquid coloring: Place ten drops of red food coloring into a small bowl. Add five drops of blue coloring to the red. Whisk the red and blue together to create purple. Drop in additional red food coloring, one drop at a time, to lighten the purple or more blue coloring to darken it.

This is good! I love cranberries year round... not just for the holidays. Definitely not a gourmet dessert because of the tacky pre-packaged ingredients but it is delicious and I bet you a dollar that your Southern family will love it if served on a Thanksgiving or Easter weekend menu. The recipe is stolen from a Keebler graham pie crust package.

Recipe #43236

This is a wonderful dessert or afternoon treat for a hot summer day. It is light and reasonably healthy! The original recipe was published in Better Homes and Garden and I adapted it for my family by substituting several ingredients and adding more blueberries and Grand Marnier. The crust is really yummy with the coconut and pecans. This dessert presents very pretty on the plate especially with a sprig of mint!

This is the ultimate cheesecake. This is my mother's very sought after recipe. Mom worked for a caterer when I was growing up, and this was always requested. Now that I've given out the recipe, I'm afraid I will have to kill you ;) Enjoy. You will never want any other cheesecake again. Using the water bath is my preferred method of cooking. This keeps the cheese cake from cracking, but I STRONGLY advise you set your cheesecake, in the springform pan, in a large sheet of heavy duty foil to keep out any water that might seep in. Soggy cheesecake is not so good! LOL
