Like my father's rib recipe which I've also posted, this is a recipe which some old buddies of mine recently requested that I post. Back when we all were a little younger, the guys used to come over everytime my Dad made his lasagne. Maybe it was the free meal or maybe it was just that good but this recipe is the reason why lasagna has always been one of my favorite foods. I know that you can substitute ground beef for the sausage (or use both combined) with equal success. I've posted this as 6-10 servings but I know from experience that 4 big guys can polish this off and still ask for more.

    Recipe #50371

This is a really simple dish to make and it's quite elegant.

This is a great way of using up left over cooked spaghetti, or just make it fresh. Ricotta cheese or sour cream can be substituted for cottage cheese. Two cups of any commercial jar spaghetti sauce or your own home made sauce can be substituted for the sauce ingredients in the recipe.

If your kids love hot dogs, then they will love this! (Hey--and grownups like it too!) So easy to make that they can even help prepare this dish!

    Recipe #31319

A very flavorful casserole, a favorite weeknight supper.

Years ago my grandmother ordered me these recipe cards in the mail that you file in a box that the company provides. I didn't much care for the recipes so we ended the subscription. There was one gem in the bunch, though. It remains a family favorite! (I don't remember the name of the company) I have adjusted the cooking times several times based on different ovens (military, moving, rental houses, unreliable ovens!) so you may need to watch it and cook it more or less based on your oven. It is not a very traditional recipe but it is quick with little mess! You can also make it ahead and just cook it when you are ready.

This is a yummy warm comfort food...a new "twist" on mac and cheese :) The bacon and tomatoes add great taste and it's pretty easy to prepare...all on the stovetop!

A creamy, tasty, easy to put together pasta dish featuring mushrooms, proscuitto and peas cooked together with a light Romano cheese sauce. Enjoy!

This is a Rachael Ray recipe that I thought looked so good - I haven't made it yet but wanted to put it here before I forgot about it :)

This feeds a crowd. It is wonderful, my friends and I in MN got this recipe from a Italian cookbook in the library, of course we did not write down the title or the author of the book. We have all made this for many years! It is great with a tossed green salad, garlic bread and a good merlot wine!

    Recipe #35202

A wonderful variation on the lasagna theme. Light white sauce and a great taste. I have had this recipe for years, but I think I found it "First" magazine. This can be use for OAMC as well. I use no-cook lasagna noodles to simplify process.

    Recipe #17108

My family's favorite. This is a very meaty lasagna. We prefer it with cottage cheese, but you can easily substitute ricotta.

I have to admit whenever I first saw this I was skeptical...but after one bite, I was hooked. It has a flavor that I didn't expect, especially after hearing the ingredients. I don't know where it originally came from as I got this recipe from my mom. Unsure of serving amount...makes quite a bit though.

    Recipe #83289

I found this recipe in Quick Cooking a few years ago and it has become a staple in our household. It is a very tasty dish that is so easy to make, yet looks very impressive. Good enough for company!

    Recipe #102351

Very good easy recipe that you can do any night of the week.

    Recipe #93295

A very easy pasta dish for busy evenings. I like it served with crusty bread (to dip in the sauce) and a tossed salad. I have even doubled the recipe and served it to guest on a casual evening.

    Recipe #73450

Very creamy sauce that my kids love! I do not favor anything with tomatoes but I love this!

    Recipe #93011

Adapted from Joy of Cooking--this is a terrific dish!! I used spinach fettuccine to make this even more beautiful. I was pretty free with the veggies--added some edamame, artichokes, spring onions and zucchini besides what's listed here. I added 25 minute prep time for all the chopping.

    Recipe #96149

This great recipe is from David Rocco. It is a very simple and authentically italian way to prepare spaghetti.
