Here's a collection of dishes, sweet and savory both, made from "junk food." Candy bars, breakfast cereal, chips, frozen pizza, tater tots, what-have-you. There's a lot of duplication here on Zaar of these recipes, so I've tried to choose one of each version. If you find a unique one that should go into the cookbook, please let me know!
This is a Pillsbury Bake-Off recipe from the 50s. The Almond Joys are melted and mixed into the recipe. I expected a more chocolately brownie when I discovered this recipe and was surprised to end up with a "blonde" coconut brownie with only a hint of chocolate taste. Very good.
These are wonderful! My cousin brought them as an appetizer for Thanksgiving dinner one year, and I got the recipe. I make them for work parties, and even quick snacks at home. You can always make more or less by using more or less cream cheese and crescent rolls! Trust me, these are excellent!
This is a great recipe, easy to make, and popular with kids! You can use different flavors of barbecue sauce and different kinds of refrigerator biscuits as well (although I recommend the Pillsbury Grands sized ones as easiest to use).
This delicious recipe came from my dad's aunt, Norma Albers from Kiester, MN. Everyone loves it; even the picky little ones! It is great for a large group, and we are planning on making this for my brother's high school graduation open house in June. I hope you enjoy it!
On our recent trip to Alaska, I fell in love with creme brulee. I was surfing the web and found this version. DH loves Butterfinger candy bars. What could be more perfect? This recipe is brought to you by Nestle.
This is a copycat to Planet Hollywoods Cap'n Crunch Chicken. The first time I made it, I burned it, and we could barely eat it. The second time I made it, it came out perfect and boy is it good! We enjoy ours with my homemade honey-mustard sauce. They make the best combo!
I love Tim's Cascade Style Hot Jalapeno potato chips, and one night when I had the bottom of a bag left over I decided to try it out as a fish crust. It worked wonderfully well, and these fillets are spicy and crunchy and very, very tasty! :)
