Well in keeping with the summer tradition of coming up with a new twist on a drink taste, our pick this year is LEMONADE. Now as lemonade is a favorite summer refresher for me it was easy to start the mix and match. Please feel free to do any type of switch you like for the alcohol portion or just leave it out for the kiddies.

    Recipe #308796

Really wanted something to do and make that was healthy and quick for breakfast. I do not like to eat breakfast on workdays as I leave at 6:40 am and tummy is not ready for food. I also want to get in all my veggies and fruits for the day so experimenting on DH (hehehe), I came up with this recipe with some help from the assistant.

    Recipe #302792

Today we are awaiting an ice storm (again) so after grocery shopping I needed to make a quick dinner that was hearty and warm. (just in case we lose power like they are predicting) Delicious and filling according to my DH and DS.

    Recipe #290364

I found this in the Cooks Country magazine and fell in love with the recipes. This is a fantastic magazine for down home meals. Many are 30 minute meals and much of the ingredients are regulars in the pantry and freezer.

    Recipe #292557

Another delicious meal from Cooks Country. Warm and inviting, simple to make and tastes delicious at dinner or forlunch. Simple to make and ingredients are readily available. Times overlap- made in under 30 min

    Recipe #292559

This is dedicated to the Beverage Gang as they have inspired me to use more spirits in my cooking. I like that I have to sample the spirits to make sure they are just right for the cooking. :-)

    Recipe #292731

Super simple and elegant dessert that your friends will think came from a bakery.

    Recipe #294250

Adopted from Mr. Food- hometown celebrity chef. Directions for spice bag are included as well, thanks to Mr. Food. This is YUMMY and it makes your house smell WONDERFUL! serving size approximate depending on cup/mug or glass used

    Recipe #298442

WOW! Saw this recipe and had to adopt and post. I grow tons of basil and freeze my pesto (Thanks to Zaar directions) I tried this and really enjoyed it as did the family. This is a great recipe for summer harvest or anytime of year. I added in some veggies as DH and I love to eat fresh vegetables and he likes substantial soups.(these additions are in parenthesis) I hope you enjoy. Adopted from Mr. Food- a hometown celebrity chef

    Recipe #298635

I bought some beautiful chicken breasts at the market the other day and wanted smething different, yet tastey. I also had a taste for tang but not too spicy, easy to make, and able to have enough left for leftovers for lunches or freezing. This is what we made.

    Recipe #298920

I love Cream of Broccoli soup but the fat and calories do not like me. This is a lower fat but great tasting recipe to use. Keep in mind that if you use homemade chicken broth, remove the fat first ( let broth cool then skim off the fatty topping)

    Recipe #299034

This is as the name says...simple. Have fun gardening or marketing and pick the tenderest swiss chard or endive you can find. Enjoy the freshness of the food.

    Recipe #308743

A friend of mine gave me this recipe and called it Chicken @#$%. I call it stuff as this is a public forum. Well for @#$% it is great. A simple and tasty all in one casserole dinner. Can be made from fresh or leftovers and the results are the same...mmmm mmmmm good. This is the basic and original recipe from Gail (southern gal). Very budget friendly!! Very mama or poppa friendly for those busy, crazy days, and minimal dishes. YEA! see NOTE at bottom of directions

    Recipe #303407

Belinda gave this recipe to me to try and it is fantastic. Super simple to prepare, bursting with flavors, colors, and comfort. Serve for a simple dinner or a dinner party. measurements for herbs are approximate as flavors depend on individual

    Recipe #304454

This was a favorite for my children and now I make for myself to keep in a tin or freezer for a quick dessert like breakfast or snack. My high school students think these are super. Very simple recipe made from prepared pancake mix.

    Recipe #302174

I grew up with this recipe and because I make it often never realized how simple this would be for others to make. It is a favorite in our house, hope it becomes one in yours. It is a one dish wonder! amounts can vary for taste or serving size. I make extra even though only 3 of us here so I have it for lunch or leftovers. Freezes well.

    Recipe #302189

For those that want a kick in the pants, try this recipe from my son for your steaks or any red meat cut.

    Recipe #278947

I needed to make a brunch type casserole for a crowd of 8. I also did not want to have to get up to a mess so threw this recipe together to make ahead. Very simple to put together either that morning or the night before. I have done both ways now and am glad this comes out so good. Heat is up to you for taste.

    Recipe #302145

I felt like carbs for dinner but also wanted something more than just plain spaghetti. I also needed something quick to put out for dinner as dinner was in an hour. Working parents all know this feeling.

    Recipe #273654

This is a great camping or campfire recipe. I also make this at home as I had this breakfast at an old time family run restaurant. I couldn't get the recipe but this tastes close and DH said it is great. You can sub in ingredients that you normally would use or follow the recipe. I like the versatility. I have made it several ways now so will list some varied ingredients at the end. This is an easy recipe to make into a 1 person or 10 person recipe. I imagine it could also be made larger but I have yet to do more than 10 guests for breakfast since making this.
