This is a great way to use up the Rhubarb surplus and in about 30 minutes you have a jam supply for lots of PB&J! My kids love it! You can make a different jam by just using the jello and leaving out the pie filling but we think this is the best way. You can experiment with different jello or pie filling flavors too. It's always fun to share a container with friends or neighbors.

Excellent jam and no Certo needed. The raspberries have natural pectin in their seeds and that is enough to thicken it. 5 lbs = 9 cups crushed berries.

I just made this. I used what is called No-Name Pectin (it is the stores brand) It turned out beautifully. Looked more like jelly until you picked it up and seen the seeds.

Yummy! You can use fresh or frozen strawberries and ripe bananas!! Perfect for gift giving or with your favorite breakfast pastry!! Note: Cooking time is actually the time for the jam to sit.

I just made this up. I wanted something different than the usual apricot jam so I added some almond extract and cinnamon. When you open the jar you can smell the almond but it isn't overpowering. They both are mostly a background taste. It is a softer jam but not syrupy. Great on bread with peanut butter. UPDATE: It did jell up after about a month.

Found this recipe awhile back in a Kraft booklet and just recently found it while cleaning house. This is such a special treat on a warm sunny day around the pool or just relaxing on the back deck with family and friends. Great for parties, cookouts, and even for dieters who want that little special sweet treat. You can use this with your favorite Kool aid drink, or tea (using lemonade Kool aid), different juices, and some sodas such as Sprite or 7-up.

Here is a basic strawberry jam recipe; no-cook. Once you try this and see how easy it is, you'll never buy commercial strawberry jam again!
