After spending too much money on store bought sugar free jams, I was given this recipe by a friend. It tastes better than most you find in the store, and is much cheaper. I use granular splenda, and don't measure it, I just add until it tastes sweet enough.
Just imagine opening a jar of golden, sparkling peach jam in the middle of January with 2 ft of snow on the ground. UUUUMMMM good! Top your toasted bagel with cream cheese and this jam, and you will be in HEAVEN!!!!
This is a favorite of my grandsons and all my kids. I found it on RecipeUSA and adapted it for sugar free apple butter. Of course, there is sugar in the apples, but none added to the recipe. It's great on toast or as a condiment.
Sugar-free jam. Strawberry Jam made with same instructions but use 1 quart cleaned strawberries. Also have recipes for Apple Jelly, Grape Jelly, Peaches in Orange Juice, French Pickles, Sweet Spiced Pickles and Tomato Sauce.
