There's nothing better than a juicy steak in the summertime or any time. Try this slow-cooked version, simmered in a savory garlic sauce and paired with fresh mushrooms, onions, and jalapenos.

Here an easy recipe fit for a fiesta. Please note that this makes more egg wash than you'll need.

I sometimes get a craving for good old tacos but I don't trust commercial ground beef to be safe and healthy. This is a much healthier option that still tastes great. Add some refried beans to the plate if you like.

    Recipe #416432

This is a cake longing for a crowd and a BBQ get together or Cinco De Mayo. Something just a little bit different to light up your life.

    Recipe #457790

Without doubt this is the most unusual drink recipe I have ever seen and I just had to post it! I found it on Epicurious where it has 4 fork reviews (their highest rating). Make as much ice for as many drinks as you will want to serve ahead of time, ice will keep after all. Freezing time NOT included and I'm guessing at the work time.

Seasoned chili beans and bottled salsa make this pork chop dish quick and easy to make.

    Recipe #467111

Using no-salt-added tomatoes and rinsing the beans and hominy helps cut sodium levels in this high fiber, smoky-tasting chili recipe. I originally found this in Diabetic Living.

Everybody loves meatballs and these are a cinch to make. All you need is a jar of salsa for their almost-instant sauce. They are good served over garlic rice (just cook a minced garlic clove or 2 in with standard rice).

A zesty, flavorful version of the traditional refried beans. Jalapenos add a mild heat and the cheese adds a subtle creamy flavor. These are a big hit at potlucks and fiestas. This is easily doubled or tripled.

    Recipe #234154

Diet Mexican! Who knew? What a great change from the usual high fat cheese laden quesadilla.

I just got this in my email box, it's from my cousin in Texas. I can't use it with all the sugar but it certainly sounds like it will make you go mmmmmmmmmmmmm. I couldn't just delete it so I'm passing it along the all the great Zaar folks. It can't take any more than 10 mins to put together and cook time is chill time. I'm not sure of the weight of a standard can of m. oranges so I'm guessing. If anyone tries this I'd love to know what you think and if it's no good I'll yell at Trisha for you!

You have to try this. Mix a bit of that "coffee-flavored liqueur" into the frosting you choose.
