After not finding anything in terms of crock pot orange chicken on Zaar, I found this recipe at About.com, then made a couple of changes to suit my family's appetite and tastes.
This produces a very strong, tangy sauce, which may be to some people's tastes and not quite to others. Give it a whirl and see if it's for you!
This is one of the many recipes that I wrote down while attending my Weight Watchers meetings. Very easy to throw together in the morning and have a wonderful meal when you get home from work. The original recipe calls for 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup but I prefer the chicken. Either one can be used interchangeably.
This is a cake-on-top, pudding-on-bottom dessert that would be perfect for the upcoming holiday season. It's best served warm, so making it in the crockpot frees the oven for the main attraction. It's awfully good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream added..... Recipe from BH&G. Standing time of 45 minutes is not figured into the timing.
Easy and tasty recipe. Original came from the Pillsbury SlowCooker Book. I've slightly modified it to suit our tastes. This isn't overly hot but has some nice bit of spice flavour. For added kick, you could add one tsp of dried chili peppers.
**May9, 2008 - it appears not all slowcookers are the same so I have made a small adjustment with the addition of water to the recipe. My cooker doesn't require this but it appears to be a minority! So give it a whirl and then adjust recipe to suit yours.
Wanted a substantial and healthy dinner for a cold night. Also wanted something where my hands were free to do bread and other cooking. Here is a different kind of stew recipe, little savory, little sweet. Enjoy it with a crusty bread and salad for a rounded meal.
This is an easy side dish recipe for the crock pot. Adjust seasonings to your liking because I don't know if the measurements are exact. I also make these in the oven, just bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until tender.
