This is one of the best carrot cakes we have had. It is from Kraft, and is SO easy. I changed it a tad, by adding golden raisins to my liking, and I made it in a 11x13 pan, and added baking time to it until it tested done as directed. The prep time was based on shredding the carrots, but buying the prepared carrots cuts the prep time to about 10 minutes!
I was going to make chicken enchiladas and realized I didn't have tortillas so I switched it up a bit and came up with a Mexican Lasagna instead. It's a big hit and always requested in my house. I was honored to have it Published in SeptOct Issue of Taste of Home Simple & Delicious...pg 56!
This recipe is one of the best grilled jerk tenderloin recipes served with its own Pineapple Mango-Kiwi Salsa. The flavors of the two balance the heat of the spicy seasoning and the sweet of the Pineapple Salsa. Recipe courtesy of the Queen Bs ZWT3 (Won 1st place in a Jerk Contest) :)
This is a nice refreshing drink made by the pitcher for long hot daze or for a crowd. Tastes like lemonade, so watch yourself ;) One great thing about this drink.... it's half water so you keep yourself hydrated... and very versitle with the citrus. I've made this with regular vodka and substituted the citrus, lemons, oranges, limes, very versable ...add simple syrup, if you like it sweeter. it's delicious both ways. Enjoy --V
I've made this many times in the past and just recently saw a similar version in TOH. I always use the cream cheese pudding in place of vanilla pudding. This makes a no fuss, can make ahead rich and creamy dessert. Also makes a pretty presentation.
Just in time for summer entertaining. I've had this Simple & Delicious recipe and decided I better get it on Zaar before I lost it. This is a great vegie pizza that can be served at outdoor gatherings, potlucks or just for the heck of it. Easy to make and everyone loves it. I serve as an appetizer during cocktail hour.
I love experimenting with spices. I came up with a way to make Carnitas on the grill. Instead of heating up the kitchen, throw all your seasoning on the meat and marinade overnight or all day.... cook in a foil packet on the grill.... Family favorite.... ;) Three ways to cook this dish.... so it can be enjoyed year round. My favorite is slow cooking then grilling for 5 minutes.. gives a nice tender texture and crisp chared outside with great flavor! Sometimes I will add a cup of water to the crockpot making the meat very tender and can be shredded for burritos. This is my Burrito Filling Recipe.
So anyway you cook it.... they come out GREAT!
This is IT! Family favorite... :) In my family we eat this at least once a week. Makes a nice Sunday dinner. I prepare the marinade on Saturday and let it sit until we're ready to BBQ on Sunday. I was absolutely honored when Bobby Flay did a show with this recipe slightly modified of course! Easy....Delicious and the most tender flavor you'll never expect Prep time does not include time to marinade. The longer .... the better If you like a melt in your mouth Tri-tip this is how I make it.
If you want to make a refreshing cocktail by the pitcher ... try this one. It is a combination of my Recipe #299834 as the base, then adding a tad more Citron Vodka and some juice. Tastes familiar, kind of like the pink starburst candy. They go down way too easy, but everyone loves them. ;) A New favorite with my DH.
I made Recipe #120317 over the weekend that was so beautiful. When I said I was just going to sprinkle powdered sugar on it, my DH said "but we have frosting" There was no way I was going to top this cake with canned frosting.... So I got busy and made this. I'm so glad I did... made the cake *Shine* and tasted so decadent.... rave reviews!!! Toot toot.... Had to get it on Zaar before I forgot how I made it ;)
Recently while with my sister.... everyone was heading towards the door. We stopped and asked the bartender to make us a Mandarin Shot.... not really knowing what we were in for, just wanted a lil something extra before getting in the limo. I watched him make this and it was *TERRIFIC* he said, he dolled it up for us. ;)
