I got this recipe from our church cookbook. It is very satisfying. The water chestnuts give it a nice crunch & it has a good flavor.

    Recipe #84033

This is one of my favorite snacks. It can be served with crackers, or I like to eat it with the big corn chips (Scoops) or serve it in jumbo pasta shells. It's easily doubled if you want to use a whole brick of cream cheese and a pound of imitation crabmeat. This is fairly chunky; if you want it to be more spreadable, increase the amount of cream cheese/mayonnaise. Cook time is chill time.

Fake crab? Yuck, you say. But, this versatile salad disappears as quickly as you can serve it. The richness of cream cheese and the combination of sour cream and mayonnaise make this creamy concoction a hit, whether spread on wheat crackers, stuffed in a tomato or avocado half, or served on a bed of greens.

    Recipe #241602

I like to eat supper outdoors, in my Grotto (The Ancient and much-Revered Ospidillo Grotto!) and this is a great, easy casserole that I can enjoy there. And did you notice? There's no red meat in this dish. Lots of flavors and there's no can of soup in it either! I'll bet your family will like it just fine. Who gave me the recipe? I drank too many beers in the Grotto and I don't remember! Sorry!

    Recipe #180892

A very good friend gave me this recipe since it was one of their favorite suppers.

    Recipe #157667

My husband loves this dish and can prepare this one himself! Got it out of an ad for Louis Kemp Seafood products. We have used imitation lobster and crab. I bet it would be awesome with shrimp.

    Recipe #32889

I got this out of the new "Family Circle" magazine. Nobody has posted such a recipe on Zaar from what I could find while searching. I think it sounds quite yummy and wanted to pass it along.

    Recipe #36218

A good summer light dinner when you don't want to heat the kitchen up too much. The cook time will be less if you nuke the bacon.

    Recipe #67650

This is a good "seafood" pizza type of appetizer. It is always popular and it looks beautiful.

    Recipe #51707

Don't cook these too much--just until the cheese is melted.

This is a reasonable (cost wise), tasty meal using up left over Mashed Potatoes. I like a bit more zip to the crab cakes so I served them with a sweet Chili sauce on the side. I only used 2 tbsp of lite Olive oil on the pan to fry them but if you want a crunchy outside to the patties coat them with Panko or Potato flakes or seasoned bread crumbs and use a bit more oil in the pan. These crab cakes could be made into small balls and served as an appetizer using a hot sauce as a dip. I just threw this recipe together from left overs but decided to post the recipe cause we did enjoy the recipe

This is from Taste of Home, i tried it recently and it was a big hit. It's very simple to make, and is great when you want to spruce up a boring potato dish. They can also be served as appetizers I would think.

    Recipe #37748

This is a quick goooood recipe when you need dinner quick. Serve with a bed of rice YUMMMMMMMMMY! Sometimes I make individual casserol dishes and sprinkle seasoned breadcrumbs on top then run under the broiler.

    Recipe #236043

Fast to make, Simple, Delicious. Just an idea, I did not use the outer Red layer on the Imitation Crab.

    Recipe #202796

Lighter version of 95823 from Chris from Kansas.

    Recipe #204241

There are thousands of recipes for crab spreads, but this recipe is for people like me that can't eat hot stuff. You can use real lump crabmeat, which will be even better. The directions do not reflect the 2 hours refrigeration time.

    Recipe #223848

This is a quick and easy meal that I love. The crab is steamed while the rice is cooking.

    Recipe #198478

I was looking for a recipe similar to the dip we purchase at the grocery store. This is fairly close. Be careful your Cajun Seasoning is not too salty.

    Recipe #179844

Great fast weeknight pasta dish that goes well for just family or for guests. I got this out of Chatelaine May 2005.
