This recipe was in a magazine at the doctor's office. I copied it onto the back of my check book, and have used the last check, so am posting here for safe keeping. Have not tried yet, but plan to do so for the next family breakfast gathering.

    Recipe #348277

This wonderful recipe was submitted by Gloria Piantek, of West Lafayette, Indiana, in the first-ever National Festival of Breads bread-baking competition, sponsored by King Arthur Flour and Kansas Wheat. What a glorious recipe (LOL couldn't help it)! Thank you Ms. Gloria!

    Recipe #378908

From Leite's Culinaria (by Brian Alberg from Terra Mar Grille Saybrook Point Inn & Spa Saybrook, CT) Beluga lentils are small, plump black lentils that are available in specialty gourmet stores. They have a delicate flavor and a slightly firmer texture than small, green French lentils. Though this dish was served alongside Brian Alberg's roasted baby chicken with foie gras stuffing, it is a simple, elegant accompaniment for a multitude of basic dishes. Our recipe tester served it with roasted cod and tomato sauce and was pleased with the way the lentils, fragrant with smoky bacon and herbs, paired with the sturdy baked fish. To increase the yield, simply double or triple the ingredients proportionately.

This is a great recipe to serve for Breakfast or a Brunch.

This is my favorite non-German bacon potato salad. What makes it special is that the potatoes are seasoned while they're warm so they soak up all the great flavors before you finish the salad. The use of lemon juice really brightens the dish, but you could always use vinegar if you prefer. This is an older recipe from Emeril Lagasse which, surprisingly, contains no extra bacon grease!

    Recipe #367471

This recipe was inspired by one of our favorite tapas dishes. It's just like we like remember it from our first date some 13 years ago. I incorporated 2 Zaar recipes to create this clone. All of this can be made ahead and warmed in the microwave before serving. The Sweet Red Bell pepper sauce really make this dish amazing! Thanks go out to go to: Julesong's Recipe#27425 and cflethcher's Recipe#140057. UPDATE: 11/2013 The restaurant uses applewood smoked bacon and roasted red pepper "butter sauce" so I will be trying these 2 latest additions and reporting back

A mixture of okra, tomatoes, bacon, and onions that is delicious as a side dish or served over rice. This is a recipe developed over the years by my mother-in-law and me.

Artichokes give this dish a meaty texture and are the perfect partner for bacon.

    Found this one on!

There can never be enough recipes for wonderful summer vegetables. With bacon and wine added for flavor, this one sounds like a winner. Recipe adapted from the local electric co-op magazine.

This is just somehting I tend to make whenever I want something tasty, filling, and easy. The recipe is easy to adjust to feed more people and my friends always dig this late at night.

    Recipe #355922

A light & tasty salsa - popular with children.

    Recipe #354918

This is one of our favorite dishes. It's inexpensive, fairly quick, very easy to prepare, and best of all, packed with flavor.

This is the best way to cook bacon. It cooks more evenly this way and more importantly, it requires little attention. The most wonderful part is you don't have grease spatters on your stove!

I love a good old risotto, me and this one is a corker. It need nothing more with it, except, maybe a glass of fruity red wine.

    Recipe #115252

    Another from our local store.

    Recipe #351804

Due to a terrible food allergy I have to cook all fruit I eat. I love guacamole but unfortunately there are horrible side effects when I eat it. So I came up with my own version. Who knew that cooking the avocados would intensify the flavor so much! Everyone who has tried this has told me it is the best guac they've ever eaten. Perfect for pot lucks or casual dinner parties. Best the next day!

    Recipe #349427

I am posting this recipe in memory of my dear friend, Dot, who died in 2008. Dot was a wonderful lady and matriarch of a large and fascinating family. She was also an avid and excellent cook. It didn't matter when you arrived at Dot's home, there was always some freshly made goodie for you to sample. These puffs were just one of her offerings. The yield is a guess, as I forgot to write down what she said. Love you, Dot, and miss you!
