Someone bought me a Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream & Dessert Book (title). This book is great it tells how to make most of their flavors and some. The book can be ordered at the bookstore for about $8.95. The reason I like this ice cream is because you can freeze it and it is like the store bought hard ice cream. I do not eat it right from the freezer because to me it is to creamy. French Vanilla

The best way to capture the elusive flavour of summertime. Ben and Jerry prefer small peaches because they have more flavor and less water than the larger ones. Prep is 2hrs 15 mins which is almost all chill time. Freezing time is however long it takes for your ice cream maker to freeze it.

Every August the peach tree in our garden is bursting with huge, juicy peaches. I make this at least once a week every summer once that tree gives up its fruit, for family desserts and as gifts for friends.

Because of the ZWT4 I'm a new owner of an ice cream maker. In a month or less, I tried 4 recipes so far. But some of them, I made half batches. That way, I can try more LOL This one from Rachael Ray looks amazing. You know me, when there's booze, it's even better LOL (A note from Rachael Ray : Think twice before serving this to children, the alcohol doesn't cook off.)

Laced with chewy toasted, shredded coconut. Requires an ice cream maker.

Here's another ice cream recipe; I added a couple of variations that you can try. Mango ice cream is popular in Hawaii; mango sorbet is also very tasty (unfortunately, I don't have a recipe for that one - hint, hint). The time does not include freezing time.

I fell in love with the combos of coffee ice cream, Skor and toasted almonds on my first visit to Cold Stone Creamery. Seeing as the closest one to me is 8 hours away - I had to duplicate it on my own. It's been a big hit with everyone - coffee lover or not!

There is none better in my opinion.

This is a merger of several recipes I found while researching for a special Mothers day dinner. Coconut is Mom's favorite ice cream. This version is easy, not too sweet, smooth, creamy and quite tasty. It might be good with some coconut stirred in at the last. The cook time is freeze time and is variable depending on your machine. Prep time does not include chill time for the coconut milk.

(For electric Ice Cream Machines) This recipe makes a delicious, soft, custard-type ice cream. If you prefer a firmer ice cream, you can chill it for an extra cycle in your ice cream machine or place it in a bowl in your freezer for an hour before serving. Prep time includes the 1 hour chilling time and the 1/2 hour beat/freezing time.

This is very yummy, great for summer! We had a terrible time trying to find a recipe for Cookies and Cream, so here we go. This also makes a very rich vanilla custard ice cream base if you leave out the cookies. Prep time does not include cooling and freezing time.

Smooth, fudgy, and creamy. My sister LOVES ice cream and wanted an ice cream maker desperately since she was a teenager. When she got married, she finally got the maker of her dreams, and has been cranking out this recipe non-stop ever since:)

If you like Oreo Cookies you are going to love this! Making a cooked custard first makes this a quality, smooth and creamy ice cream. This recipe makes about 3 1/2 - 4 quarts of ice cream. I hope you will enjoy this!

This is one of my favorite homemade ice creams. It is super easy and tasty. I have had this several times since I was a young boy but have never made it myself. The Eagle Brands website calls for 20 oz Orange Soda rather than 2 Liters. I am pretty sure we used a 2 qt Ice cream churn and most likely did not put the whole 2 liters in the recipe. Also they call for 2 teaspoons of Orange Extract. You can also make this with other flavors.

If you are a blueberry lover, you are in for a real treat! This rich and creamy ice cream is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! Using fresh blueberries is always best, but you can use frozen (See note below). Cook time reflects chill time. From Williams-Sonoma.

A collaborative effort by the Babes in Zaarland 'Zaar World Tour team, using our very favorite Italian dessert flavors, espresso, mascarpone, cinnamon, nuts, liqueurs, and of course, chocolate. This is proof that too many cooks don't spoil the dish, as long as all those cooks have a sweet tooth for Italian desserts!

Ben and Jerry make the best ice creams and this lovely choice is one of their best in my opinion. Give it a try and see what you think Cooking time is however long it takes your ice cream freezer to make it.

Tartufo is an Italian word for truffle and these chocolate balls resemble giant ones! Keep plenty on hand in your freezer for an impressive dessert that's ready in minutes.

Very freshing and cool for those long hot summer days. Needs to refrigerate for 1 hour.
