A simple mixture that makes the house smell wonderful.

    Recipe #320288

I had to share this one. It's amazing. Just two ingredients and a spray bottle! I found this on beingfrugal.net. and it's just too good not to post. You spray it on and leave it, like those expensive (and toxic) cleaners made for bathtubs. I have used it on everything that I would use a spray cleaner on and it is great. It's cheap, natural, and it works great!

    Recipe #319938

This cleanser is so simple. You probably already have the main ingredient in you cupboard. It leaves your sink and your pots sparkling clean without the use of harsh chemicals or perfumes.

Hopefully you don't need to used this but try it if you do. Be sure to drink plenty of water. Call your doctor immediately if there are signs of shock or heat exhaustion, such as: dizziness, rapid pulse, rapid breathing, nausea, fever, or chills, severe skin blisters, extreme thirst.

    Recipe #308529

Easy and economical. Ideal for rinsing produce when you cannot get or afford to buy Organic. Removes a lot of residue like chemicals, pesticides and other matter quickly and easily. I saw this on Oprah and had to share! NOTE: Make sure to mix this in a DEEP pitcher. The baking soda and vinegar will react and foam everywhere if you do not. (just ask any elementary school kid who has ever made a volcano for science class)

After reading many different crock pot potpourri recipes I came up with this one, and my house smells wonderful! :) If you don't have a small crock pot, just use a sauce pan and simmer on your stove. These are fun to throw together because you can use what ever you want to create the scent you want and you can't really mess up. I used the spices sold in the cellophane bag, they are very inexpensive and are usually in the Hispanic section of the grocery store.

It's messy and not quite appealing to look at, but this foot scrub uses coffe and sugar to make those crocodile-skinned extremeties become positively human again! (plus it smells great!)

Chef #248023 inspired me to make this after I made her Recipe #256951. Shea butter is known for its cosmetic properties as a moisturizer and emollient. As well as an anti-inflammatory agent. Shea butter can be effective at treating the following conditions: fading scars, eczema, burns, rashes, acne, severely dry skin, blemishes, dark spots, skin discolorations, chapped lips, stretchmarks, wrinkles and in lessening the irritation of psoriasis. Also provides natural UV sun protection but don't rely on it as a sunscreen because it filters out only little amounts of UV rays. Shea butter absorbs rapidly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. It can be bought on line.

An economical laminate floor cleaner spray that you can make for pennies... and it gets your floors just as clean as that expensive cleaner they sell in stores... if not cleaner! This formula has been keeping my floors so clean and does not give me a headache like so many other commercial cleaners, so I have decided to share this gem that was shared with me from a Pergo expert. This is the first "recipe" I've posted with the hope that many of you will be able to put it to good use!!!

    Recipe #255994

I just switched to stainless steel cookware this year. I've had several instances where I get food bonded to the bottom of a pan. One day my Mother was visiting and I was complaining about it. She said, "cream of tartar". I said, "huh"? She said it just popped into her head that my Great Grandmother used to say to sprinkle cream of tartar in a hard to clean stainless steel pan put some water in it and boil it until the crud comes off. Guess what? It works everytime! *This is my favorite posting because it has helped so many people...and apparently it works on more than stainless steel. :)

    Recipe #251972

This recipe found in the Toronto Star. It comes from Green Clean by Linda and Mason Hunter and Mikki Halpin. Quote: "For the first time in the history of the world, every human being is now subjected to contact with dangerous chemicals, from the moment of conception until death." Rachel Carson, Silent Spring, 1962 Note: After the reviewers' comments, I've changed the number of drop of essential oils)

    Recipe #233245

You can replace the raspberries with 3-4 medium strawberries and the yogurt with heavy cream if you don't have sensitive skin. From either Care2's Home Channel or Delicious Living.

    Recipe #209169

This recipe is from my children's preschool art teacher. This truly is the best ever playdough recipe. It will last for several months in an airtight container. No refrigeration is needed. In addition to the food coloring you can add extracts or spices to give it different smells, though these can change how much flour you need to add.

    Recipe #185326

I had tried most everything to clean the porcelain enamel grates on my cooktop with little success. Then I read the use & care guide that came with the cooktop. How simple is this! NOTE: I used a plastic trash bag with a tie top. When entering this "recipe", a plastic bag wasn't recognized but a ziploc was. Ignore that "ingredient" ;-)

    Recipe #185146

I couldn't believe how dirty my watch and silver jewelry were when I tried this. Yuck! This saves money and is safe for you and the environment. The solution can be very drying to your hands so consider using rubber gloves or even tweezers to handle the jewelry. This recipe is from wire-sculpture.com.
