This will make your house smell SOOOOOOO "Holiday"!! I have made this for 4 years in a row, at Christmas time. It is neat, because you make everything in a saucepan.........turn on your burner when you want "that wonderful Holiday aroma throughout your house", then you turn of your burner, but leave the pan for whenever you want another whiff....then you just your burner back on. NOTE: ALWAYS make sure there is water in the pan!!!! If the water level gets low, you just add water...I keep mine going all during the Holidays, although I have added a few more spices, according to how strong it still smells, after a week of using. ALso, one year it went moldy!!!! Guess I had been using too long.

    Recipe #102612

This makes an excellent gift. Make sure you make some for yourself too though because it really smells wonderful. Please note, you need to use whole cloves. Ground cloves are much stronger and will definitely overwhelm the other scents. If you aren't a fan of cloves, feel free to leave them out entirely. I do sometimes.

Is your laundry looking dingy? Are you seeing spots before your eyes? To keep your washer spotlessly clean, it is important to remember to give it a once over every six months, or every three months if you have hard water. Is your Dish Washer dingy? See my recipe for Recipe #87538 ! From Talking Dirty Laundry with the Queen or Clean, by Linda Cobb

    Recipe #63666

You'd never think that you could make ornaments from applesauce and cinnamon... but it actually works! They smell yummy, but I don't suggest eating them!!! I guess you could though! Don't blame me if they taste bad though!!! lol! I just wanted to show you all a good 'ornament' recipe!

The name brand is expensive but this is an inexpensive alternative and less harmful to your clothes than bleach!

    Recipe #32716

A wonderful dirt cheap alternative to buying a $5 bottle of Febreze. This version is about 5 cents to make and the scent is much nicer too. I use it all the time.

    Recipe #71485

As the mum of a toddler I use a LOT of pre-wash spray. This is a recipe I found on CD Kitchen on one of the days I had run out of store bought.

    Recipe #257862

Have your vase of flowers last longer. Use this solution instead of plain water for fresh flowers.

    Recipe #137039

I couldn't believe how dirty my watch and silver jewelry were when I tried this. Yuck! This saves money and is safe for you and the environment. The solution can be very drying to your hands so consider using rubber gloves or even tweezers to handle the jewelry. This recipe is from wire-sculpture.com.

    Recipe #180133

This recipe is from my children's preschool art teacher. This truly is the best ever playdough recipe. It will last for several months in an airtight container. No refrigeration is needed. In addition to the food coloring you can add extracts or spices to give it different smells, though these can change how much flour you need to add.

    Recipe #185326

From Knox Gelatin. You can use essential oils, extracts or your favorite perfumes. Yield depends on the size of the jar used.

    Recipe #129216

Easy and economical. Ideal for rinsing produce when you cannot get or afford to buy Organic. Removes a lot of residue like chemicals, pesticides and other matter quickly and easily. I saw this on Oprah and had to share! NOTE: Make sure to mix this in a DEEP pitcher. The baking soda and vinegar will react and foam everywhere if you do not. (just ask any elementary school kid who has ever made a volcano for science class)

Tea tree oil and thyme essential oils are antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral and are great for use in the home. As the testers pointed out, it's perfectly fine and effective if you use other essential oils with the same properties. Lemon and lavender are favorites of mine. :-) Use only essential oils.

    Recipe #185340

This potpourri uses things found in your spice cupboard and fruit drawer. I put approximate amounts of everything... please use your own judgement for exact measurements. I never measure anything.. I just use up what I have. You can use any combination.. be creative!
