    Healthy for Daily Life

This is the cookbook I look to for most things I make. I also use this cookbook, done alphabetically, to choose recipes for the Healthy Choices Game in the game room. http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=204949&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

A quick and delicious breakfast bar. I make these for my daughter and husband to get them fed and out the door quick in the morning. I have made these with a variety of combinations of dried fruits. You can also try diced carrots or parsnips in place of the cranberries for a nice change. Its an easy way to sneak veggies into a kid's diet!

    Recipe #377602

Use whatever veggies you have on hand.

    Recipe #324244

This is really just a rice and beans dish - not a risotto in the traditional sense. It is tasty and fairly easy to throw together nonetheless. I usually top each portion with grated parmesan when serving.

    Recipe #384488

This is a great dip for anyone wanting a cream cheese fruit dip, but trying to watch calorie/fat/sugar intake. I found that it doesn't taste as good directly after making it, so try not to skip the refrigeration time.

    Recipe #294170

Richard and I were famished last night when we finally made it home. I stared into the freezer and cupboards and this is what ended up coming out of them. I thought this was very tasty and thought I would come and share this simple dish with all of you.

    Recipe #270540

This is a winter dish that will warm the cockles of your heart. Preperation is easy & you only use 1 pot to cook it in. No mess or fuss, now thats what I like best about this dish. I made this recipe up as we had some sausages in freezer that needed to be used up.

    Recipe #397393

A delicious brownie that is healthier, but as good as it's fattier version. The secret is sweet potato and whole wheat flour, but no one will ever know... unless you tell them! I got this recipe from my Aunt.

    Recipe #371710

A quick, simple dish that is good for any meal - we love it for dinner.

    Recipe #359174

This is a wonderful and easy vegetable&pasta recipe that my family has been making for ages. We use only fresh broccoli and I have added bullion cubes to enhance the flavor. I hope you try this delicious and healthy dish.

    Recipe #185788

These are adapted from the wonderful cookbook Vegan Lunchbox by Jennifer McCann. These are so nutritious, and inexpensive to boot! Freeze these and have something to chuck in the lunchbox every day.

    Recipe #331928

These cruelty-free savory stuffed sandwiches were inspired by the Runzas I grew up eating. Cabbage and onions sauteed with "beef", loads of flavor. Usually served with ketchup or bbq sauce for dipping, and oven fries on the side! "Sausage" instead of "beef" tastes quite good in this as well.

    Recipe #385226

I was craving an oatmeal muffin with a bit more "kick." I added spices that are typically found in spice cake recipes. I am always trying to find ways to sneak in more nutrition so I also make them with multigrain flour. These muffins are moist and delicious. I adapted this recipe from fellow member Kree. Thank you for all of you that nominated this recipe for PAC. It is an honour. I have increased the spices since I originally posted this recipe. I hope you enjoy!!

    Recipe #381195

One of my all-time favorites, this is one is easy on the diet. You can top this homey dessert with green grapes and orange slices for a pretty presentation. You can also use the lemon sauce over angel food cake or your favorite frozen yogurt.

    Recipe #330783

I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Ossg Recipes. Recipe says for WW123, CALP, PP, even LC leave out the tapioca. This is a 1 point recipe.

    Recipe #335751

This is listed as a new side dish on the www.pillsbury.com website.

    Recipe #337982

A very good squash soup with a few spices to make it just delectable -

    Recipe #376396

This tasty treat was my first successful attempt at baking light. The ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg give it a familiar spice cake flavor...and raisins and shredded carrots help keep it moist. —Hilary Carroll of Dearborn, Michigan From TOH Contest Winning Recipes 2006

    Recipe #392454

Whole wheat waffle recipe that uses applesauce to sweeten and cut the oil.

    Recipe #392744
