I am in love with Cracker Barrel's Hasbrown Casserole, but not the 500 calories per serving! I took the "copycat" recipe and tweaked it a bit so it is much healthier, while still maintaining its cheesy wonderfulness!
Super healthy soup recipe I found from "World's Healthiest Foods" website. "Very quick and easy to prepare. Lots of flavor high in vegetable protein without being high in fat; good vegetarian meal on a cold day." To be sure it is truly healthy, be sure to use organic or all natural broths and even spices as many contain msg and/or preservatives.
This recipe is from the Liver Cleansing Diet by Dr Sandra Cabot. It is very healthy and tastes great. I don't add the sultanas because I don't like them and if I don't have almond oil or soy milk, I use canola oil and fat free milk and they still turn out great.
This is a very healthy muffins, good for breakfast and lunch. You can see there are many ingredients making the muffins full of flovour, however, the muffins come out not moist and sweet but good for health. Sweet and butter lover, please don't try.
From "Eight Weeks to Optimal Health". I haven't tried it yet but want to post it for safekeeping.
Dr Weil says: Here is an unusual, healthy dessert made from the staple grain-like seed of the high Andes, now available in specialty food shops and health-food stores.
This smoothie recipe came out of desperation to find something quick and healthy to feed my children in the morning. We leave the house at 6am and I didn't want to wake them up any earlier than I needed to. All four of my children eat breakfast either at school or at the day care but we needed something to tide them over until then.
This recipe is so easy and fast! Kid and mom approved. It's a snack or dessert I don't feel bad about giving my kids. I use my food processor, but I'm sure a blender would be great too. Hope your family enjoys it too.
