This is my sister's dip. She got the recipe while backpacking in Europe a few years ago. She is now forced to make it at every party she has. People smell it cooking and stand drooling by the oven until it comes out! (Many have not been able to wait for the cooling part and burned their mouths to get to it first). You might have to make 2 portions. **NOTE: Please CHECK the sodium content before you choose a ranch dressing mix, because it will affect the flavor! Some people have complained it is "too salty". Please also make sure you are using only a 1 ounce packet; there are other sizes from various manufacturers. Too much mix throws off the balance of flavors. My sister and I always use the Hidden Valley Ranch Original and we do not have any problems with it :) You can also substitute half the sour cream for prepared Ranch Dressing and skip the dry mix. It will come out a bit wetter.

This recipe is so simple I cannot believe it! Great for Christmas gifts or any occasion! Great rainy day activity too! Try peppermint extract and chips for Christmas! Top with candy corn for Halloween! Top with anything you like and vary it to whatever holiday is near! Great use for those sprinkles I always seem to have a ton of after a holiday! Enjoy

    Recipe #470180

Looking for something fun to make for Valentine's Day or Easter? Grab your holiday sprinkles, and have fun! These are a yummy treat for kids and adults alike! I made these for co-workers and family members during the holidays, and put some in gift baskets for Christmas. You can also change the M&M's and use the pastel colored ones for Easter to put in the kiddies Easter Baskets... You can make them for any of the holidays, by just using different holiday jimmies and candies... I wrapped in green and red saran wrap and tied with a coordinating ribbon for Christmas. They look pretty enough to put on top of Christmas presents or packages, use as party favors for kids, or as a place setting using a name tag tied with a ribbon to each one, so the kids know where their seats are. I have dipped them in caramel and then chocolate and sprinkled with nuts and M&M's. I have also used chopped candy bars such as Butterfingers. You could even use the little cinnamon hot red candies for Valentine's Day! Or put those cute candy hearts with the little sayings down the front with some sprinkles. The sky is the limit. Use your imagination, and I am sure they will work fine for you too. Great to do as a fun day with the kiddies too!

Warp-Speed because you make it in the microwave - no all-day cooking for this spicy-sweet spread! My kids like to put it on their toast, and pretend they're having pumpkin pie for breakfast! It does taste like pumpkin pie filling, and makes a wonderful hostess gift. Make sure your recipient puts this right into the refrigerator! NOTE: Don't try to "home can" this. It's hard to get the dense-textured pumpkin hot enough in the center to assure it has processed properly, and from what I've seen, the USDA recommends against it. Just make a small batch up when you want to give someone a treat! Microwave times are approximate, as ovens vary.

These can be made in a jiffy for a party or just for fun. While it sounds odd, the flavor combination of salty and chocolate is out of this world! This recipe comes from "365 Great Chocolate Desserts" by Natalie Haughton.

    Recipe #107358

I found this somewhere on the internet. It sounds so pretty! I'm putting it here for safe keeping. I haven't made this yet, but I think it would make a nice gift.

I got this from a major newspaper in Toronto, Canada years ago and being a "thrifty person", I've made it many times. Replace the coffee with liqueur syrups, such as apricot, cherry & creme de menthe for other flavours. Try to fool your friends!

    Recipe #56764

Best drink you will ever eat! Tastes just like you are eatin apple pie!! BEWARE this drink can be dangerous..it will sneak up on ya quick. Enjoy

    Recipe #202658

The combination of apples and cinnamon is one of my favorite flavor combinations. I had this cocktail at a party and when I found out that it was homemade, I had to find the recipe. I couldn't find it here in Recipezaar (!!!), so I turned to the WWW.

I made this for Xmas gifts last year and everyone raved about this soup. While similar to other recipes it has additional ingredients in the mix and in the preparation. I had space left in the jars I was using so I added baggies with Goldfish crackers and directed that they be removed with the macaroni.

Replace those boxes with a homemade version. I have only tried the stroganoff so far, but the kids absolutely loved this (even more than the boxed stuff!).

This quart jar of soup ingredients is a personal and inexpensive gift to give to a casual friend or neighbor. You can use the same premise for the dry ingredients in cookies, brownies, etc.

As soon as I saw this idea, I knew I had to post it here! Print or write this onto a piece of card : Didn't you say "nothing"? When you were asked what you wanted for your Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation or Christmas. Don't you remember saying NOTHING? Well this time someone heard you & searched high and low to find this perfect gift for you. I chose a French Kilner jar as they are pretty & very useful but you could really use any jar you like!

This Bacardi rum cake is lovely and moist. I usually make it around New Years, makes a nice looking dessert for a buffet and the taste is rich and wonderful. From a magazine add, many years ago.

Pretty pink apple and cinnamon jelly for a spicier slice of toast or muffin.

This recipe comes from the Kraft people. It sounded so good I just had to share.

This is great for a gift basket for the holidays or any time. Add gourmet flavored syrups, placemats, wooden spoons, and wire whisk for a complete gift. Mix makes 10 cups or 90+ pancakes
