    Recipe #427062

Small oat biscuits that are traditionally eaten in Scotland with cheese or pate' as a snack, we sometimes have them for a light lunch with a side salad.Last time I made them we had #211001 French Tarts French onion marmalade, with them and it was a perfect addition.

    Recipe #299137

My friend loves a good cherry scone, and can't bake or she thinks she can't, so when she pops in for a cuppa, I make her these. It only takes 15 mins and they are lovely with fresh butter. A light touch is all you need.

    Recipe #363258

This is a nice moist rich tea loaf, the cranberries give it a wee bit of tartness and the walnuts a bit of crunch. I used Cox pippin apples and I didn’t peel them. I have used syrup and honey and both work well. Also I chopped the walnuts.

    Recipe #413625

My mum used to make these for us when we were kids, everyone loved them. All our friends used to hang around when it was baking day to see what they could get for a treat. These are great for the kids to make as there is no cooking, mind you most of the mix gets eaten before they get to the paper cases. You can make these with cocoa rather than the drinking chocolate for a more adult taste, but the kids love the drinking chocolate.

    Recipe #416313

You can use a variety of different sausage for this, I like to use my butchers best but Italian would be nice or sometimes I use cumberland which is a herby sausage, but I don't think you get that in the USA my kids loved this mind you they still wouldn't eat the veg. The 30g of crisps is one small bag it wouldn't let me put that in for some reason.

    Recipe #417694

I love cheesy dip's but sadly I am the only one that does, so I make a very small amount to have with nibbles when relaxing. This one is a very mild dip but nice and fresh, if you want it a wee bit looser you can add a bit of juice from the pineapple. You can also add as much or as little of the spice as you like the choice is yours.

    Recipe #421326

This is a store cupboard recipe, at least I have everything on the list in mine, so it's a good one in an emergency. Served with some cream on the side, It looks good, every day or for guests.

    Recipe #417778

This is a typically English dessert to have on a nice sunny day sitting in the garden. Go on you deserve it. I got this recipe from a girl at work I think she was hoping that I would make them for her. I think I will.

    Recipe #423652

This is from Nigella's recipes, you must have a very good strong cheddar for this to get the full flavour. Very nice warm or cold but at there best with some good sausages and scramble eggs first thing in the morning. Yummy.

    Recipe #423179

This recipe comes from a book that was created for charity between all the churches in our town and surrounding towns. The lady that this recipe belongs to is a member at the Baptist church but all nominations gave there favourite recipes, I thought this one was a bit different. If you don't like wine in your food just replace it with stock the amount is 1/2 of a bottle.

    Recipe #423186

This cake was called the doctor's cake as it was given to gran by the doctor's wife. A nice cake that is easy and quick.

    Recipe #423187

Hob nobs are a crispy biscuits here in Scotland. I think you would call them cookies in the USA you can't just eat one you alway's want an other so try them at your peril. This is not my recipe a friend gave it to me as I was making biscuits for a charity event. Honey can be used rather than Golden syrup.

    Recipe #392057

This is a nice warming meal on it's own. I wanted to use leeks that were in season and a good price. and of course leeks have a nice delicate taste. I used mostly the white part of the leek and saved the dark green for soup so nothing went to waste. If you choose you can make the sauce with half milk and half stock.

    Recipe #392346

This is a very tasty chutney and so easy too, it works well with just about anything but is perticularly good with cheese and crackers, or sausages. I like to give it as presents around christmas, folk are always pleased to receive some. The recipe can be easily halved or doubled with no change to the flavour it will just take a bit longer or shorter time to make. make sure you chop your apples and onion quite small.
