This is a wonderful addition to an antipasto platter.

I got this recipe from a cookbook that our church was selling. It is my favorite.....

    Recipe #82808

I created this rice dish one evening when I wanted something a little different to serve with some West Indies-style marinated pork (just tuna for me...). Saffron is always a hit with me, so I just started seasoning, chopping, squeezing and adding things to the rice until this citrusy little dish came out! It also goes well with chicken and seafood and chicken, and is delicious mixed with grilled veggies.

    Recipe #82930

This is a lovely dish--great for company you want to impress. try serving it with the Escarole Mashed Potatoes (recipe #83209) and Apricot Glazed Green Beans (recipe #83213).

    Recipe #83211

Wonderful side dish for dinner party or to impress.

    Recipe #83213

This soup originated out of a need to create low sodium, but tasty foods for my son with FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome (kidney disease). It has a lovely rich green taste and pleasant aroma and is wonderful served alone or with wedges of fresh vegetables. Can even be served as a smoothie! Scrumptious warm or cold, but not too hot.

    Recipe #83295

curly lettuce leaves to catch the dressing, crispy, crunchy apple slices, rich, salty parmesan cheese. This is a salad that ROCKS!

Do not be freaked out by the amount of garlic called for; roasted garlic is very mellow. Try to use Yukon Gold potatoes in this dish; they mash well and have wonderful colour. The aroma of the roasting garlic is heavenly, so this is a great recipe to do when you have company coming over, as they will be absolutely salivating from the moment they walk through your door!

    Recipe #83391

Oven-roasting vegetables brings out maximum flavour, in my opinion. I eat these like potato chips - can't stop at just one.

    Recipe #83993

This is my favourite potato recipe of all time. It makes the perfect accompaniment to a roast or any other meat dish. Traditional recipes for this take 1 1/2 - 2 hours to cook, so I start mine off in the microwave. Some recipes are very rich, calling for all cream plus butter and cheese on the top. I've found this version - even when made with low fat ingredients - tastes wonderfully creamy but not too rich with no compromise on flavour. One of the best things about Potatoes Dauphinoise is that if there's any left over it keeps well in the fridge for several days and it reheats beautifully in the microwave (unlike roast potatoes which can taste a bit floury when reheated). I've also frozen it, defrosted it in the fridge during the day, then reheated it in the oven for dinner. Try it - I know you'll love it!

These are a lot more interesting than plain roasted or jacket potatoes. They're perfect to serve with a roast and easy to do. As the potatoes cook the slices fan out so, as well as tasting great, they look pretty too!

    Recipe #84104

I saw this being prepared on 'Canadian Living Cooks' and haven't made it yet. It looked so stunning and delicious on the show that I thought I would share it with everyone. I think its a wonderful lunch or buffet item. Enjoy! (Prep and cook times are approximate and do not include standing time)

    Recipe #84392

This is so much better than any deli fruit salad. You can also cut the recipe in half if needed.

    Recipe #84689

A quick, tasty recipe. The almonds pick up a mild garlic flavor. This is really good with super fresh, right out of the garden, green beans!

    Recipe #84698

This dish looks impressive but it's very easy to prepare, so it's great for a dinner party! This is a great recipe for those of you who grow your own tomatoes and green beans. It makes more dressing than you'll need for the tomato/green bean combo....I use the extra dressing the next night on our salad.

    Recipe #84705

You don't have to make this dish ahead of time but it makes those special occasion dinners less hectic to prepare!

    Recipe #84833

Buttery-rich, creamy, dreamy..divine caramels. Do not make these on a damp day as they may not set up properly.

    Recipe #85327

These unusual, luscious lentils are a traditional Lenten meal of Oaxaca, Mexico. Pineapple, plantain, cloves and allspice give this dish a tropical feel - plus there's plenty of garlic for zip. Garnish with fried plantain slices.

    Recipe #85328

A deliciously creamy risotto highlighting the first spring asparagus, the pine nuts give a great crunch.
