This makes an excellent gift. Make sure you make some for yourself too though because it really smells wonderful. Please note, you need to use whole cloves. Ground cloves are much stronger and will definitely overwhelm the other scents. If you aren't a fan of cloves, feel free to leave them out entirely. I do sometimes.

I know you are saying there are already a lot of recipes on this site for the same thing, I researched them before posting mine and this one is just a little different so here it is. Everyone I have ever served this to absolutely goes beserk over the taste and says it's as good as the real thing. It's so much cheaper too! I found this on an internet site, but can't remember which one, it was to long and to many fifths ago!! You can easily double the recipe.
I have made several different recipes for hot pepper jelly and decided that I had tweaked them all to the point of newness. Here is my interpretation of a good, hot jelly that works well as a glaze on chicken or pork or on top of a brie or over some cream cheese. Heck I have even had it on celery with peanut butter but that's a whole other story. I use a variety of colored peppers for really pretty jelly, yellow, red green, etc. I think habenaros give the best flavor and heat. My instructions are kind of long but I thought the details of canning might be helpful to someone. Wear rubber gloves whenever handling hot peppers or you'll be sorry. Makes a great addition to a gift basket. Hope you enjoy it.
This great recipe came from Charlotte McDonald of Greyhound Pets of America in the Orlando area. These wonderful people rescue retired racing Greyhounds. This is a healthy treat that my little dogs love as well.
Don't buy the tablets, use whats in your pantry! Glitter and tie-dyed eggs too! Use in recipe #153466 to make Cascarones. Cook time is drying time. Safe and natural for those of you who eat them easter morning!
What a nice (and EASY!) gift to give at the holidays or any time of the year! Uses dry ingredients (like powdered instant iced tea mix) that are easily found at the grocery store. I put my mix in a pretty glass container and tie with a ribbon with an instruction card attached. Each recipe makes about 4 servings.
Here's where your imagination as a cook and homemaker will be at it's best. Feel free to make any changes you'd like and add your own favorite recipes. If this is a gift for a family member it would really be special to include a homemade cookbook with family favorites. Have fun making it individualized.
I do recommend wearing gloves. This is sweet & spicy so beware. This is great served over cream cheese.Try adding it to your favorite barbecue sauce for a little extra kick. Spread it on your sandwiches. I've added it to salsas.
You can also make this with jalapenos and green bell pepper to get a milder jelly.As in the picture.

Talk about a face mask! This will melt your face off! Dare you try I hope you have a stomach of steel. My husband has been asking for a very hot jelly. My other jelly recipes are not hot enough for him. He asked for it and he got it. He loves it. I don't know who else would try it. Maybe Mean Chef? I don't know it's really really hot. The zucchini is in there because of the abundance in the garden and it makes a great filler. Now you can use this as a ingredient in BBQ sauces or glazes for chicken or pork. Spread it on cream cheese and serve with crackers. Add a touch to a salad dressing for a kick. It's really endless just use it as a seasoning. A good gift for those that can handle it!
A friend at work gave these to me last Christmas, and I had to have the recipe. These are so good! I can eat them right out of the jar, but they are especially good on burgers with monterrey jack cheese, with turnip greens, or peas or beans (southern style). The amount of sugar is an estimate...basically you equal it to the amount of jalapeno slices you have. Easy and delicious!
Great for holiday gifts. Multiply recipe and divide prepared mixture into 1 cup amounts, put in decorative jars or just zipper bags with the preparation directions attached. Good to keep on hand for yourself too!
Another recipe from my "Gifts in a Bag" recipe book. I have made all the dips from this book and all of them are great! When having a large party I prepare all of the dips, so every one can have their favorite tastes. Cook time is chill time.
