We had these at Bonefish Grill. They are a great app. Since then, I have been trying many recipes looking for one that tastes close. This is the best that I have found. Sometimes I fix these and just serve with a salad for lunch - very delicious!

A popular way to eat these is to pan-fry the sweet banana-like slices until they are warm and tender. They are abundant all over the Caribbean and can be found now in most grocery stores. From Food and Wine Magazine in their section "For More Party Ideas."

Need a hang-over cure? This cold, refreshing, vitamin-C rich starter is reputed in Nicaragua and in coastal towns of Mexico to do so. The Spanish name for this seafood salad is "vuelva a la vida", which means "return to life." Either way, it sounds yummy! Compliments of Food and Wine Magazine. It does need overnight marinating time.

These are yummy little morsels that make a great starter or are great for a buffet table. I had them at a friend's house and begged for the recipe! Kid's love to help make these too.

Clipped this out of our local paper awhile back. It sounds so yummy. I have not made it as yet but I am putting it here for safe keeping. Be sure to use freshly made wasabi paste available at sushi bars, large supermarkets or Asian markets. Because the wasabi and the avocado are the same color, be sure to mix the ingredients well.

Posted on request. Comes from "Joy of Cooking". One of my favorite version of Boursin Cheese. Great to use as an Horsd'oeuvre as filling for cherry tomatoes.

An elegant, yet easy way to start off any party!! This dip has a great eye appeal...You may have to take the first bite just to get others to join in!! They will be glad you and they did though!!Cook time includes chill time. Preferably for me it would be overnight just to let flavors blend. However, I am sure it would be acceptable after 3 to 4 hours of chill time.

This savory variation belongs in every serious cook's repertoire. Serve these to a crowd you want to impress! Caution..This makes alot, the two small balls are as big as baseballs! I have been making these for years from a recipe I clipped from a magazine and they are always a hit. Cook time is chill time.
