Gastric Bypass Friendly Cookbook
I had a gastric bypass a few months ago. The immediate problem I encountered was that there was not alot of variety provided when it came to meals that I was allowed to eat. I also did not want to cook seperately for myself and my family. So I did some research and found or invented recipes that fit the nutritional guidelines provided by my doctor and nutritionist. This allowed me to have the type of foods, that I was craving and still not cheat on my diet. Keep in mind that the portion sizes in these recipes are normal sizes that my family would eat. My portions were usually half or smaller. The good news is that by putting my family on the high protein, low fat, low carb, and low calorie diet, their health and weight has improved with no additional effort than the change in diet.
I hope that other bariatric surgery patients find these as helpful as I have. It will help make the lifestyle change that much simpler.
