    Recipe #36118

This is a staple in our home. A simple salad that is made throughout the Middle East, Arabian influenced African countries such as Sudan were it is called Salatet Zabady bil Ajur & the Mediterranean. It is served as a mezza or salad side dish. It is especially good as a cool sauce to be paired with hot rice dishes as we do. Recipe#387395, for example. Modified from Delights from the Garden of Eden by Nawal Nasrallah. Prep time does not include 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

    Recipe #443878

Found this recipe on the web recently. Love the combination of flavors. Use the best quality green beans available. Canned beans won't work in this recipe. UPDATE: I've eliminated the step for submerging the beans in ice cold water per suggestion of a reviewer. Always room for improvement!

    Recipe #184389

This recipe comes from the 2002 cookbook, Cranberry Cooking for All Seasons. It's great on hot rolls & muffins of all kinds, but we really like it spread on a toasted slice of nutty, whole grain bread. Preparation time does not include the time needed for the soft butter to firm up in the refrigerator.

    Recipe #467447

"Papas" is the word for "potatoes" in Quechua, the language of the Incas. Potatoes, which originated in Peru, are one of the most important foods to come from the New World. This casserole was inspired by the cuisine of Peru. Please note: this is not a recipe for sauce served over pasta.

    Recipe #440738

Actor Richard Anderson has made many television appearances, but is probably best known for his work on The Six Million Dollar Man. This recipe is adapted from Bon Appetit magazine, February 1978. The original recipe uses raw milk.

    Recipe #465882

This is an original recipe of my DH's inspired by his former Mexican co-workers when he worked in Gilroy, California (garlic capital of the world!). This recipe will scale 1 to 6 servings; this recipe serves 6, i.e., one relleno per person.

My version of a nice cheese little spinach cake from EatingWell. The sit time is important or they will not hold together. These are moist, light and tender. I used a knife and spoon to remove from tin and had no problems. **5 minute sit time not included in cook time**

We all like potatoes, but I don’t like stirring them in the pan. For this reason we usually prepare this in the oven: less work, more crispy and less oil! Posted for ZWT7

    Recipe #456890

Made with fresh or frozen cranberries, these pancakes have a hint of orange that makes for a tasty breakfast! Original recipe is from The Joy of Cranberries: The Tangy Red Treat, with a small tweak from yours truly! Various syrups do well with these, but when they're topped with a cranberry syrup like recipe #304229, well . . .

    Recipe #219152

This recipe comes from the wonderful book "Mon premier dîner végétarien" by Alice Hart, which I was gifted for my bday a couple of weeks ago. It is a bit more involved than your usual béchamel, but so worth it. The taste is outstanding and really makes gratins and pasta shine.

    Recipe #465720

From Bon Appetit Magazine, December 2008. A satisfying vegetarian soup from Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico.
