I love fruit desserts and this is my favourite at the moment. Quick and guilt free too as it only contains fruit. Serve warm or cold. It doesn't really need anything else but I have topped with plain yoghurt in the past.
Old-fashioned comfort food that looks after itself until you're ready to serve it! Enjoy Baked Apples in summer without heating up the kitchen, or at any time of the year. Adapted from a recipe in Betty Crocker's "Slow Cooker Cookbook". If you are planning to make this recipe, please read Rita's experience with this recipe, and my notes below.
Yummy side dish to serve with any type meat, especially pork. This dish is very popular along the Canadian border as well as with Norwegian immigrants to America and Canada. Try this with a shot of Amaretto added in... mmm...
All the wonderful fresh fruit of summer, whatever is in season, makes refreshing fruit salads. I use whatever is going locally the day I make it, berries, peaches, apricots, pineapple, melons etc., mmmm lushious!!
